Llakor 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2004 An IWS Press Release Internet Wrestling Syndicate http://www.syndicatewrestling.com Montreal, Québec, CANADA Monday, April 19th, 2004 *FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE* The Internet Wrestling Syndicate debuts on Pay per View Aaron Weiss, the producer of Pro Wrestling Superstars - Past, Present and Future, is pleased to present the Internet Wrestling Syndicate on Viewer’s Choice across Canada. “I’ve looked at wrestling footage from all over and I’m delighted to give the IWS the national exposure that they deserve,” Aaron Weiss told IWS announcer Brian the Guppie recently, “My goal with Pro Wrestling Superstars is to show Canadians the best wrestling from across Canada and from around the world, as well as the best wrestlers from yesterday, today and tomorrow.” The first IWS match to be presented showcases the Past, Present and Future of Canadian Wrestling. The three way dance from the IWS show Blood, Sweat and Bears last October was called by many the Canadian Match of the Year. It featured a former three-time WWE tag team champion and former WCW hardcore champion, Pierre Carl Ouellet paired off against two men considered the future of Canadian Wrestling: the Latin Luchador El Generico and “Mr Wrestling” Kevin Steen. The main event of the third edition of Pro Wrestling Superstars pits the high-flying crowd favourite Amazing Red against former NWA World Champion A.J. Styles. Bam Bam Bigelow and Balls Mahoney: two men whose very bodies are testament to their careers, with the history of their matches carved into every scar; two men who have bled their life’s blood in more arenas than most wrestlers see in a lifetime; two men who know nothing of the science of wrestling and everything about the principles of pain and the science of suffering; two men in short who define hardcore. Any confrontation between these two men threatens to be a bloody brawl, but when that match is fought under hardcore rules, literally anything can happen. On April 23rd, watch these two men carve another chapter in their hardcore history as they face off in a hardcore match. In addition to the IWS, Pro Wrestling Superstars features matches from Border City Wrestling. As indicated by its name, Border City Wrestling runs shows in both Canada and the United States bringing wrestling fans of both countries the best wrestlers from North America. The third edition of Pro Wrestling Superstars will see a match for the BCW Tag Team Title pitting the team of Tyson Dux and El Tornado against The Hacker and Gutter. Also featured is a match for the BCW Heavyweight Championship. In one corner, a man with a reputation for winning big matches and a hunger for gold, the first man to hold both the European and the Intercontinental belts at the same time: D’Lo Brown. His opponent: the diabolical Sinn. The third edition of Pro Wrestling Superstars: Past, Present and Future is available on Viewer’s Choice for the bargain price of $5.99 starting Friday, April 23rd at 8pm. To mark this debut on Pay per View, the IWS will be holding a party Friday night at a location to be announced soon.. The Pay per View will also show on April 23rd at 9:30pm, 11pm and 12:30am. It will repeat on April 26 at 7:30am, 10:30am, 1:30pm, 4:30pm, 7:30pm, 10:30pm, 1:30am and 4:30am, as well as on May 11 at 7:30am, 10:30am, 1:30pm, 4:30pm, 7:30pm, 10:30pm, 1:30am and 4:30am. The IWS presents "Scarred For Life" Saturday, April 24th, at the Plaza Theatre 6505 Rue Saint-Hubert on the corner of Saint-Hubert and Beaubien, two blocks from the Beaubien Metro, next door to McDonald's.
