Scorpion King proves to be King!  

 

 

The Scorpion King, starring the Rock, opened Friday, April 19, and recorded record-breaking numbers. According to Universal Pictures officials, the movie will gross over $36 million for the weekend, making it the largest opening for the month of April in movie history, and will easily surpass the $100 million dollar mark on its opening run.

"The World Wrestling Federation is extremely proud that one of its own has crossed over from WWF Superstar to action adventure super stardom," said Vince McMahon. "It couldn't happen to a harder working, more deserving person."

I meant to ask this question in the first post. I know Rock got paid 5.5 million to star in the movie but does he get even more money depending on how successful the film does?

It's quite possible that they added into his contrat that he gets a percentage of the grosse I'd image McMahon gets a portion of the Rock's and the movies earnings as well.
