Jason goes to hell

Gee, I can't wait for Jason XI where Jason finds a super time machine in space and he goes back hundreds of years in time to do battle with H.G. Wells & Jack the Ripper. :D

Hey man, don't laugh too hard. A time traveling serial killer or in this case a unstoppable demon man killer would be a pretty good plot for a movie.

I'd pay to see it and then buy the DVD.

I'll assume you have seen "Time After Time" where Jack the Ripper goes into the future using a time machine and HG Wells goes after him.

It's coming on DVD this summer.

See i knew that was a good plot...so good that a movie has already used it. Is Time after Time a recent movie or old?

It was made in 1979. The cast if good, with Malcolm McDowell as H.G. Wells and David Warner as Jack the Ripper.

It's definetly worth checking out on DVD when it get's released.

You can read up about it on the imdb here.

Hm.  Maybe if I drown myself I'll get incredible super powers.  Ugh...Again, the first was good and the rest just keep getting campier, campier, campier, campier, and campier...

I've seen all the Friday the 13th movies, but until I saw Jason X the last one I saw was quite a few years ago. So I'd consider myself a Jason follower more than the casual mvie goer, but not a Jason mark. Now as far as I knew, the story went like this:

As a little kid, Jason drowns at the Crystal Lake camp because the counselors were too busy making out. Years later someone starts killing every teenager at Crystal Lake, and that person turns out to be his mom, getting back at teenagers in general for her son's death. Her head is cut off in Friday the 13th 1. In Part 2, Jason emerges from somewhere, sticks an ice pick into the head of the girl who killed his mom, and resumes the killing spree.

Here it gets kind of hazy for me, because I swear in parts 4 and 5, "Jason" was actually a person. In one of them it was a cop, who died after being impaled on some farm equipment. I think in the other it was the cop's son, who was getting back at people for his dad's death.

Then my memory just skips ahead to Part 8, where Jason is in New York, and then to Part 9, where he is sent to hell by a long-lost cousin or something. That's all I know.

In part five it was a paramedic who was killing ppl as reveng for his son's death, which is the second and last time it's been someone other than Jason killing ppl

Friday the 13th: The killer is Mrs. Voorhees.

Friday the 13th part 2, 3 & 4: The killer is Jason.

Friday the 13th part 5: The killer is Roy the paramedic.

Friday the 13th part 6, 7 & 8: The killer is Jason.

Friday the 13th part 9: The killer is Jason, plus his "spirit" which possesses other people.

Friday the 13th part 10: The killer is Jason.

I think that the answer is just that the people making the movie didn't care about continuity, and just wanted the money.  Part 1 contradicts Part 2, Part 5 contradicts Part 6, and Part 9 contradicts pretty much every other movie in the series.  That's an even worse record than Halloween, which resurrected Michael with no explanation after he quite clearly died at the end of Part 2.

Hey, Michael at least had the excuse of being an unstopable killing force, Dr. Loomis was just Some Old Guy, and HE was in all the sequils up until part 6!

Damn, really? I'm going to have to pick it up as I'm sick of waiting for A&E to re-run it again. Great flick, and the plot is always a great inside joke to run off of with my friends. ;p

It sounds like a great DVD. 5.1, widescreen and commentary by the director, Malcolm McDowell and David Warner.
