Guest Posted April 21, 2002 Report Posted April 21, 2002 Differende between a springboard and a slingshot? And what is the difference between a sit out move and a sit down move?
Guest razazteca Posted April 21, 2002 Report Posted April 21, 2002 Springboard is when a guy jumps off the ropes (Lionsault)and slingshot is when the opponet is bounced off the ropes (Tully Blandard Sling Shot Suplex) right?
Guest CrazyMAX Posted April 21, 2002 Report Posted April 21, 2002 Razazteca is right in his description of a springboard move, but a slingshot move can also refer to a move where the attacker uses the ropes to vault himself. An example would be Billy Kidman's slingshot legdrop.
Guest razazteca Posted April 21, 2002 Report Posted April 21, 2002 Eddy Guerrero also does a Slingshot Senton from the outside apron on to the opponet inside the ring.
Guest Dace59 Posted April 21, 2002 Report Posted April 21, 2002 Differende between a springboard and a slingshot? And what is the difference between a sit out move and a sit down move? Sit Down: Sit down to your BUTT on the mat (or floor or whatever) with your legs closed EG Piledriver Sit Out: Sit down on your BUTT on the mat (or floor or whatever) with your legs spread wide out (and enerally with the opp. landing between them) EG X Factor SpringBoard: Springboard is when a guy jumps off the ropes (Lionsault) Or anything else like that, you you jump on the ropes and bounce off for a move, it's a Springboard. Slingshot: Where a wrestler graps the ropes, pulls back and vaults forwards, using them for leverage, such as the above examples of Eddy Guerrero also does a Slingshot Senton from the outside apron on to the opponet inside the ring and be Billy Kidman's slingshot legdrop. What was the Slingshot suplex: It's 2 things. 1) Old name for the catapult counter into the corner. 2) Any type opf suplex there you life the opp, drop them onto the ropes, and use the bounce of the ropes to suplex them Back. Eg Reverse suplex opp. onto the topes gut first (like Christain does) but hold on and as they bounce back with the ropes, suplex them back over like a normal suplex.
Guest Dace59 Posted April 21, 2002 Report Posted April 21, 2002 Just to cover some other terms cuz I'm bored yet again. Kneeling: Any mvoe that ends up with the attacker land on there knees. Eg a Tombstone is a kneeling inverted piledriver Reverse: The motion of the move is reversed, the attackers and opps. opisttioning is the same. (Eg revese DDT, set as DDT, fall forwards. Reverse suplex, life as suplex, fall forward to your front, slamming opp. on there gut) Inverted: The motion of the move is the same, but the possitioning of the opp (genreal) or something attacker is differnt by 180 degrees. Eg Inverted DDT, the opp is face up, in a face lock, preform as a DDT or Inverted piledriver, pick up opp so the are belly to belly with you, head between knees, then sit down just as a piledriver.
Guest Posted April 23, 2002 Report Posted April 23, 2002 I call the reverse suplex you describved a bellybuster suplex.
Guest Dace59 Posted April 23, 2002 Report Posted April 23, 2002 And that's what we call a gimmick name, just like a stunner or a rock bottom. There is a gut buster, which is the inverse of a back breaker. Christain does it, fireman's carry, throws the opp forwards, landing gut first on his knee, can be done from a front face lock, suplex, inverted powerbomb, gorilla press. etc..
