I suppose Piper is the closest to Irish, being Scottish...you got the Celtic connection going on there

Actually Piper is Canadian, thats just his gimmick. Read his book and you'll find out.

They're talking gimmicks man.

And what's the point in arguing with a PBP?

I was referring to Piper's gimmick. He does have Scottish heritage though

What does WWE doing something forever have to do with whether or not they have racist views. JYD was a black man who walked around with a chain around his neck and was once made to bow down in the ring to Harley Race. Ted Dibiase's man servent was black. In WCW Booker was made to be from Harlem and talk "hood" when he was from Texas. Whether or not someone is telling them they have to talk a certain way or they are fired dosen't mean there isn't someone incouraging them to use certain phrases. I am sure Booker walks around saying sucker in his everyday language. I'm sure Eddy loves using the terms Esse and Vato every five seconds. They both came up with these ideas on their own. You can't just dismiss it as them doing it just because they all ways have. Wrestling like bboxing for years in the past looks to polarize the viewers. They are doing it by focusing on the lowest forms of stereotypes that some people hold and playing off of that instead of the actual athlete, or trying to tell a story without it.

Scroby, do these guys have a real choice or an alternative? By the latter, I mean, if they lose their job will it be worth it, especially if others aren't willing to testify for them and if people can collaborate bookings with racist actions backstage. Does Booker really have that much say, especially at that point in the company, to nix an angle.

Everyone keeps on bringing up this idea of "Shock TV", but if they keep going back to the well for every minority wrestler (and some that aren't), is it really that shocking?

Now as far as Hirohito (sp?) goes, its been done so many times in the past does Ludwig Bolga ring a bell? Same thing, what about Berlin? I mean yeah it was in WCW but it was the same gimmick. That sort of gimmick is done all the time in wrestling, so I suggest getting used to it.

I think the point was "Why is it being done all the time?" Are there NO more gimmicks left?
