DerangedHermit 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 See...the difference between a Mets fan's hate of the Yanks and a BoSox fan's hate of the Yanks is that the Mets fan wants the Yankees to go through what the Mets have gone through and stop being glory hogs. A BoSox fan has no life and wants to kill a Yank. I completely agree. I'm insanely jealous of success. Yeah...is that so wrong? And the Mets have an excuse to suck so far (except for the sweep by Pittsburgh): they're missing Reyes, Floyd and now Wigginton. Well, there's no excuse for Joe McEwing actually being a starting player. They did a piss-poor job planning in the offseason if we need to rely on "Worthless" Joe to start an early rally for the team. Let him feel free to hop around all he wants. Just keep him out of the Batter's Box. As for Reyes and his injury that just doesn't seem to heal, the Mets should really make sure to hang an Alfonso Soriano picture in his locker. Maybe that could get him to come back a little quicker...... And, ah yes, perhaps it can soon be time for everyone else in New York to finally realize that John Franco absolutely sucks, and that the guy was never really any good to begin with. I know Super Joe (Gutierrez has been starting more though --- he sucks but he's better than Super Joe and Enrique Wilson) and Franco blow, and Jose Reyes is on track to become the J.D. Drew of middle infielders. I've been shocked with Shane Spencer and Todd Zeile, though. I thought they'd suck. UPDATE: Apparently Reyes and Floyd could be back this weekend. Could they be rushing it? List of Mets they need to get rid of (probably a few more, though): Stanton Franco McEwing Brooklyn, New York. Mole 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Boston keeps proving why they are losers. Instead of being crybabies, why not try fucking winning a title instead of playing the blame game. If the ANAHIEM ANGELS, ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS, and FLORIDA MARLINS can win World Series', then I think Boston can. It is the BoSox fans who are doing the bitching, not the players. How can the fans do anything about how well the players do? They can't. You know what, the Yankees do suck. It is called hating a team that always beats your favorite team, what is so wrong with that? Nothing. I don't own any of those shirts, but I will pick one up eventually. I hate the Yankees, and it has nothing to do with them spending so much money, getting A-Rod, winning the WS 27 times or w/e it is. I hate them because they beat the BoSox. They are my favorite team and when the Yankees beat them all the time, it makes me hate them. That is why the Yankees Suck, because I hate them. Besides, the BoSox have the 3rd highest salary in the MLB. They are just as bad as the Yankees when it comes to spending money; the Yankees just win and the BoSox don't. I love how you only hear about the BoSox fans who bitch about how much the Yankees suck. I know PLENTY of fans who don't diss the Yankees that much, they just are sick of losing all of the time. I am a firm believer in the curse. The BoSox aren't going to win a WS until 2018, 100 years is when the curse will be over with.
