i'd just like to mention that it's nice to be back for those of you who give a damn about me. Now with that said I would like to clue you in on the telecast of boxing tonight on HBO. For those few and proud who can still call themselves boxing fans with a straight face you saw a great night of action in the Lightweight division, and a new champion be crowned while an old one made his move back towards the top. Now I know i sound too much like a damn TV announcer but allow me to tell you it was a great card with one giant oversight and it is this: HOW IN THE FUCK DOES FLOYD MAYWEATHER MANAGE TO WIN THIS FIGHT? I mean he was outthrown, outhit, and hit with the harder shots. And still he wins and manages to do it by unanimous decision no less. It's just not right

Totally political decision. Mayweather is the more popular, marketable guy. Plus, he's an HBO "house fighter," so HBO benefits from his staying undefeated and being a champ.

 

On another note, why is Larry Merchant such a fucking prick? First he kept bitching about the ref during the fight ("Why does he keep breaking them up?" "No one paid to see the ref.") Then in the post-match interview with Floyd, he acted like a total ass. Now, Mayweather was being corny by plugging Grant gloves, but how the hell is Merchant gonna say, "We don't do commercials" when the fight was scored on "Budweiser scorecards"? Then Merchant asked his question, Mayweather pretty much ignored it (hmm, probably because he just fought someone for half  an hour) and Merchant was like, "Answer the question, Floyd." Man, I hope one of these days someone decks his bitter old ass.

and just as a side note is Stevie Johnston the shortest world champion you have ever seen? he's this little midget guy who should be fighting Paul Spadafora RIGHT NOW.
