So, now that Brosnan is out...

Ewan McGregor.

Handsome, charming, he can pull off an action role, and he'd look good in a tux. And, he's scottish. Which, technically, Bond is.

But I'd demand they return to the literary roots of the character. The dark, cold blooded womanizer kind of Bond. Dalton came closest.

Personally, even though he was already the bad guy in a Bond film, I would like to see Sean Bean take a crack at it

It's true, but there are several people who have played different roles in two different Bond films. Take the actor who played the CIA Agent Jack Wade in Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies, I'm sure he was the US Army Arms Dealer in The Living Daylights. Also the brunette woman in The Man With The Golden Gun also played the lead female in Octopussy (great title!/poor film).

Granted no Bond has ever had a non-Bond role in a Bond film, but I would love Sean Bean to be Bond, if any of you guys have ever seen the Sharpe series, you'll know how versatile he can be.

My vote goes to Ewan McGregor... although Hugh Jackman wouldn't be a bad choice. I know Russel Crowe's name was thrown around a few months back, but I dont know if I could see him in the role...

Either way, my only hope is that Tarrentino gets the greenlight to direct Casino Royale with the studios blessing... I dont see why not, considering QT's got a lot of light on him right now, and it would no doubt be a huge success, ESPECIALLY considering he said he would do it on a small to modest budget
