Guest Report post Posted April 21, 2002 KOR QUALIFYING MATCHES Rhino vs. Brock Lesnar -A pure brawl. The battle spills to the outside and both men battle into the crowd. The ref reaches ten and the match is called on a double countout. Winner: No one Spike Dudley vs. William Regal -Spike goes for the Acid Drop, but Regal tosses him off. He then applies the Regal Stretch and Spike taps. Winner: William Regal Bradshaw vs. X-Pac -Some time into the match, Hall distracts the ref as X-Pac hits the lowblow and the X-Factor, but only gets 2. Hall still on the apron, gets knocked off by an elbow from Bradshaw but walks into a stiff heel kick from X-Pac for the pin. Winner: X-Pac Booker T(now, face) vs. Goldust -Booker hits the standing sidekick and does the Spinaroonie. As Goldust recovers, Booker hits the scissor kick for the pin. Winner: Booker T Mark Henry vs. Lance Storm -Storm is in the corner as Henry comes at him with an avalanche. Storm moves out of the way, Henry eats turnbuckle, the roll-up by Storm, he gets his feet on the ropes and the pin. Winner: Lance Storm Al Snow vs. Albert -Albert sets Snow up for a powerbomb, but Snow escapes. Albert turns around and Snow hits the Snowplow, good for the pin. Winner: Al Snow DDP vs. Hardcore Holly -Hardcore irish whips DDP and looks for the dropkick, but DDP holds onto the ropes. DDP waits as Hardcore gets up and hits the Diamond Cutter for the pin. Winner: DDP Maven vs. Christian -Maven nearly pulls the upset off on a few occasions. After Christian could not pin Maven, he began to throw the customary tantrum. Maven took advantage by climbing to the top. As Christian got up, Maven came off with a missile dropkick which Christian was able to avoid. Guest Report post Posted April 21, 2002 Every round after the Qualifying takes place during the PPV ala old school. SECOND ROUND William Regal gets a BYE over the Rhino/Lesnar double countout. Booker T vs. X-Pac -Hall is on the apron as X-Pac irish whips Booker, but the Book reverses it and X-Pac slams into Hall. Booker gets the roll-up for the pin. Winner: Booker T Al Snow vs. Lance Storm -Al Snow goes the Snowplow, Lance escapes, hits the superkick, and gets the pin. Winner: Lance Storm DDP vs. Christian -DDP looks for the Diamond Cutter but Christian reverses it and hits the Unprettier. But that only gets 2. Guest Report post Posted April 21, 2002 SEMI-FINALS Booker T vs. William Regal -Formula finish for the Book. Sidekick, Spinaroonie, scissor kick, the pin. Winner: Booker T DDP vs. Lance Storm -Lance Storm looks for the superkick, but DDP catches the leg and spins him around for the Diamond Cutter and hits it. But Storm kicks out. DDP picks Storm up and irish whips him looking for the dropkick, but Storm catches DDP's legs and applies the Canadian Mapleleaf. DDP manages to get to the ropes, but Storm drags him back to the center of the ring. DDP hangs on for a while, but eventually has to tap. Guest Report post Posted April 21, 2002 KOR FINALS Booker T vs. Lance Storm -Edge, as last year's KOR, is out to do commentary. Storm looks for the superkick, but Booker avoids it and Storm's leg gets caught up in the rope. As Storm recovers, Booker comes at him with the standing sidekick, but Storm throws the ref in the way bumping the official. Booker is checking on the ref as Christian comes running down the aisle wielding a chair. Edge leaves the commentary table and grabs a chair of his own. He taunts Christian to come at him, which Christian does. They staredown for a few moments, before turning and nailing Booker with a Concierto. They leave the ring with the chairs as Storm applies the Canadian Mapleleaf to the fallen Booker. Edge wakes the ref up. The ref checks on Booker T and calls the match on a KO. Triple-H retains the WWF title in a three way match over Jericho and Angle, pinning them both with one foot in about 5 mins following the pedigree. Stephanie McMahon returns as a face and her and Hunter decide no divorce after all Taker vs Austin ends in a double pin, so we get to see it again next month! RVD and Booker T don't have matches... Guest Zoltan Report post Posted April 21, 2002 All in all I think that Greenmist provided a good KOTR from start to finish but what I don't like is how far Bradshaw goes in the tournament because he would be spent after the first 2 matches tops. And that in the qualifers there are 2 countout finishes, that is 1 too much and the Rhyno/Brock match leads us to think that they will have a fued which should be a nice power duel. Guest Report post Posted April 22, 2002 Bradshaw v Lance Storm ? Very questionable. Lance Storm is a great athlete but can he carry Bradshaw to a good match. But, I couldn't think of any other Raw faces who(in the eyes of the average fan)would make it to the finals.
