Guest Redhawk Report post Posted July 11, 2002 Cole has kids? Actually, Cole said that his NEPHEW was asking him "Why won't Tazz return Daddy's phone calls?" So that means that Michael Cole's brother or brother-in-law was the one who was friends with Tazz. Another bad quote... When Brock Lesnar got up in Ric Flair's face a couple weeks ago and said "You're in the wrong year, with the wrong guy..." It wasn't what he said, but he sounded a lot less scary than I think he's supposed to sound. It was like Michael Jackson's voice on Ivan Drago's body. Guest deadbeater Report post Posted July 22, 2002 how about jerry lawler's idea to start a "she's a fat ass" chant towards Molly on Raw this past monday. That is the worst angle ever. Now they created a monster because nobody wants to talk about Trish anymore, they want Molly, and Jerry's chopped liver. (Always want to say that.) It got even funnier as Trish was so obsessed with Molly's ass (and who wouldn't, man or woman) that she would lose her Women's title for it. Then the next week, Trish was acting like she caught a whopper when she pulled down Molly's pants to reveal the most beautiful BUTT in wrestling. Good acting, though she and Jerry still got caught in a lie. Stupid announcers, they completely forgot about announcing skills and are kept in rapture over Molly's BUTT. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Guest JMFabiano524 Report post Posted July 27, 2002 Great thread! I can't resist but add a few of my own that I believe weren't mentioned: - Booker T (in the Hungry Man commercial): "A whole pound of food men love: fried chicken...." - Jeff Hardy, after running in on a William Regal/Chris Nowinski interview, faces the camera and delivers the soon to be immortal quotation, "Owghfhvbn frdhjfbnfvchj dskfdfsfjdsm! HJfrhjfjfdefd!" (Well that's the closest I can come to transcribing it) - And speaking of incoherent people, there is one Ultimate Warrior moment I will absolutely never forget. It was during a spot on a Wrestling Challenge leading up to WM6, where they did a special report with dueling interviews with Hogan and Warrior. Basically, Warrior opens up his interview by breathing heavy and grunting while turning slowly towards the camera. When he faces it, he says the following, "Shiatit Woyah! Schmernen an schwarrrrrrrrrr hell! Mistintity!" And unlike the Hardy gibberish, this is EXACTLY what I heard. - Albert, in the line that I will forever remember him for, explains his turn on Scotty: "YOU MADE ME DANCE FOR SIX MONTHS!!!!!!!" - And now, the first of two quotes I recently heard for the first time (well, in 14 years at least) when watching a tape of the November '88 Saturday Night's Main Event. Hacksaw Jim Duggan is cutting a promo about a flag match he has coming up on the show against Boris Zukhov. Somehow the conversation turns to Dino Bravo, and Hacksaw refers to his "flag with those fleur things!" Gene tells them that the name is "fleur de lis," and then Duggan goes on to remark that "they look like SQUASHED FROGS to me! And that is what Dino Bravo will look like, tough guy!" But oh, it gets better. The interview goes back to the match with Zukhov, and Gene brings up the prospect of the Soviet flag being raised. Hacksaw, not out of wit yet, responds with this deep, thoughtful query: "That's a flag? I thought it was a sign for a HARDWARE STORE!" - And here's the second SNME quote. Andre the Giant, who earlier, was cost a chance at winning the WWF title from Randy Savage because of Jake Roberts scaring him with Damian, is with Jesse, basically lamenting his failure to get the title. He then threatens Jake by saying, "And next time, don't bring that thing in the ring!" Which naturally leads Jesse to comment, "I can't believe that you're afraid of a snake!" Now, this part you have to imagine in Andre's voice to get the humor, as Andre grabs and shakes Jesse and yells "I'M NOT AFRAID OF A SNAKE!" Then, he attempts to give the image of being calm by saying slowly, and with the following inflection, "I'm not afraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaid of that!" Now, I notice this thread is not only for "so bad they're funny" quotes, but also quotes that were just bad and/or wrong. To that end is one of the few times I found Rock truly boneheaded. It was a 2000 PPV, whichever had him defending the WWF title against Chris Benoit. In the shows preceding this, Benoit had been jumping Rock everywhere. Shane McMahon comes out for an interview during the PPV, during which Rock comes out demanding to know where Benoit is. He names places he think he may be hiding, and then ends by wondering if he will attack him "from the rafters." Now I might have been putting too much thought into this one, but given Benoit's Canadian heritage and all, that one was way too creepy for me. And I sincerely hope that comment was not intended to be a reference to Over the Edge '99, despite the eerie coincidence. Again, I am probably thinking too hard, but who can say? J. Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted July 29, 2002 Oh, lord. The legendary "Apple Pie" strap match...I remember this. Hogan, "fresh" from returning, was feuding with Ric Flair. They signed a strap match for Uncensored. On one Nitro before it, Hogan gave a LONNNNNNG, crazy promo to provide build up. It was so long, a friend of mine says he fell asleep during it and woke up before it was over...
