Guest gwf0704 Report post Posted April 21, 2002 I have seen Tully Blanchard's career since Southwest Championship Wrestling where he tagged and feuded with Gino Hernandez, Georgia when he was feuding with Tiger Conway Jr and teaming with Arn Anderson and being a founder of the 4 Horsemen, to his stint in the WWF. I always enjoyed his ring persona, his cool mat skills and his effective tag team work and the way he could draw heat during his interview. I always wondered why he isn't ranked higher in most polls in singles and tag team. Just wondering your opinions on his career.
Guest FakeRazor Report post Posted April 21, 2002 I really like Blanchard as well, always did. He's deffinatly an amazing worker and could really go on the mat. He was no slouch on the mic too. The Brainbusters have to be the most underrated tag team in WWF history, they never get any recognition, and they are IMO one of the greatest Tag Teams ever. Guest razazteca Report post Posted April 21, 2002 Tully Blanchard was one of the greatest NWA tag team specialist in the company. I cannot believe people say good things about Bobby Eaton and Ricky Mortan but forget to mention Tully, his days as a Horseman were among the best in the tag ranks of NWA/WCW. Tully also had some singles title reigns in NWA, I believe.
Guest Report post Posted April 22, 2002 Tully held one Mid-Atlantic TV title, one Mid-Atlantic National Heavyweight Title, 2 NWA TV titles, and one NWA US title. I still love the "I Quit" match from 84 (or was it 85?) where Magnum TA won the US title from Tully. As for World Tag Titles in the NWA I cannot find a list of title holders before 1992, but I do remember at least 2 with Arn Anderson. MAW
Guest razazteca Report post Posted April 22, 2002 Magnum TA vs Tully was good even after the car accident when the Horsmen beat up Magnum TA in a helpless state "arm sling", but luckly Dusty Rhodes came to the rescue with a baseball bat.
