I was reading the paper today and ran across this show that will air Monday night on ABC entitled "Contact: Talking to the Dead."  Among the celebs that will try to talk to deceased love ones is Bret Hart.  Has anyone else heard about this?

I'd watch it for a laugh if it wasn't so downright sad!!!

Maybe it's just like wrestling for him, a pay off, acting, you know?

*Sigh*...

I watched this (Movie Review Crew/Dudz V.2 was not appealing) and it was not cheesy as I and many other thought it would be. It was not one of those "freaky" things with Smoke and mirrors, but almost a candid sit down chat. The guy was legit and even though he could have done research on Bret and learned alot but I'm sure he was a legit communicator but It's a little creepy thinking that Owen was talking to Bret again...I would have asked him "Who pushed?"

It really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. i'm just happy Bret didn't break down like a little girl and cry. Now that would of been pathetic.

btw, Bret looks good since retirement. He finally got some "Hair Care Products" for his hair. Too bad Shawn Michaels didn't do the same.

LoL @ the "Boy Toy" or "Sexy Boy" being skinny and bald now.

I thought Bret looked old, stressed and tired.

I am still skeptical over the whole thing.  The mediator didn't reveal any information that you or I didn't know or did some research on.  Plus I am surprised that the mediator who was allegedly speaking on Owen's behalf didn't mention Owen's death.  But I don't know what footage was edited out, so maybe he did.

Bret did get a little teary eyed a couple of times.  I just hope Bret can find some peace and closure and move on with his life.

Doesn't it make you feel sad? How the mighty have fallen.

Really.

Quite pathetic actually. For someone who lambasted the Owen Hart tribute RAW episode, Bret Hart sure is willing to exploit his brother's death now, isn't he?

Why did he have to do this on TV? Why not in private? is he that desperate to be seen? Really!

Bret Hart, I've said it a million times, is a sad, pathetic wretch of a man. He's delusional to the Nth degree and as a fellow Canadian, I'm embarassed that he's calls the same country home.

I guess he's REALLY "killed his character" now. *snicker* Oh NO! What will us Canadians do, he's our HERO!

Riiight.

Until Bret comes out and says why he did it, (which I'm sure he will cover in a future article on his website) I am thinking that he realized that there are many, many fans of Owen that, like Bret, would be able to get some closure on his death.  Bret didn't do this to find out who killed Owen, he did this to get closure and to let his deceased family know his feelings and possibly hear what they had to say.  Many people believe spirits are able to be contacted and many people don't.  No one really can say for sure whether its real or not so it just one's opinion.

Granted. WHY do it on TV? He's just setting himself up to look like even more of a dipshit than he has in the past. Then, he seems to be an expert at making himself look like a dipshit regardless of what he does.

I watch this and it was kinda sad seeing Bret. He did look really older and stressed out. I almost dropped a tear when the guy said Owen considered Bret his hero. What a shame Owen died.

This wasn't half as bad as I thought. I'm just glad Bret "spoke" to his family and hopefully he can move on with his life after this, though a lot of you will still bash him, but that's your opinion.

If TV producers came to me and offered me a chance to communicate with dead people, I would accept.  Whether it is real or not, It would be an interesting experience.  Bret probably thought the same. He is a former Pro Wrestler, not a Prime Minister.  If the man wants to go on a TV show, for God sakes let him do it without running him down.  What's it to you?

"What it is" to me is Bret Hart going out of his way in the past/present to paint everyone else as a hypocrite out to exploit his family's misfortunes; and then he just turns around and does it himself. Please. Give me break, Hit Man, don't claim to be "righteous" unless you truly are.

If it makes him happy why not? Got to agree with the BBeast though I could have given him the same line of shit from what I've read. I would have had Owen cut a promo on Bret though. Actually from what I've read that is what Owen would have done.

Fake!

The way I see it, Bret didn't see this as a way to exploit anything.  If he was offered this deal to contact his dead family members and the only way they'd agree to let him do it is if they put it on tv, he jumped at the chance to contact his family members.  If it being taped is the only way they'd let him do it, then so be it.  He doesn't care what the internet community thinks, he got some closure out of it.
