Hmm,

Buffalo Bills --- I still say Thurman Thomas was a better all-around player than OJ.

Atlanta Hawks --- Dominique Wilkins, by a pretty wide margin.

Atlanta Braves --- I'll have to say Greg Maddux --- Hank Aaron was a great power hitter, but Maddux was THE MAN for years.

Buffalo Sabres --- Is anybody but Dominik Hasek even up for this?

S. Carolina football --- George Rogers, our Heisman winner.

S. Carolina basketball --- Probably Alex English, but John Roche and Bobby Cremins were excellent players

S. Carolina baseball --- Adam Everett was terrific, and Kip Bouknight (who will probably be on the Rockies roster at some point) was phenomenal.

EDIT: Wait. This is the "greatest" thread, not the "representative" thread. I get the two confused. Between these two and "Funyn Things Athletes Say" and "Funny Things Athletes Do," I feel inclined to start Best and Worst Uniform threads for everybody to interweave. Because you know San Diego Chargers or Quebec Nordiques will end up on both.

Montreal Canadiens: Maurice "Rocket" Richard. The best hockey player ever.

Damn straight.

Although, I do have a soft spot for Guy Lafleur.

I dont think it's a stretch to call Frank Thomas the greatest White Sox of all time.

Luke Appling, Joe Jackson, Ted Lyon, Red Faber deserve consideration.

[MLB]Chicago Cubs ~ "Mr. Cub" Ernie Banks. I was also a big fan of Mark Grace, Ryne Sandberg & Andre Dawson. That's just for hitting though.

For the Pittsburgh area:

Pirates: When it's all said and done, Bonds could probably be called that for his overall stats, but fuck him, I'm going with Roberto, with Honus Wager a close second. (I'm using "great" to include other things than just stats.)

Steelers: A hard call, but I'm going to say Joe Greene, because he was the foundation to the Steelers' success in the '70s.

Penguins: Lemieux...
