Guest Anglesault Report post Posted May 9, 2004 Just like the Coors Light commercial says, at some point, everyone's friend has told the ridiculous lie to get himself out of trouble with his parents/girlfriend/wife/whatever and somehow implicated you in the whole God damned mess. What was the worst occasion of this ever happening? Mine was about Ten Years ago, Summer of 94 when I was seventeen. Anyway, one night, my bestfriend for basically my whole life spent the whole night out doing God knows what (Okay, I knew, but I've been called God before ) and didn't come back home until mid morning the next day. Obviously his parents were pissed, and they wanted an explanation. His was less than great. Apparently he, my girlfriend and myself decided to go to a concert (I don't even remember who we supposedly saw) and we got home late so he decided to crash at my house. The reality was, of course, that no one went to the concert and, in fact, none of us were anywhere near eachother that night (I was working and the girl was babysitting her little brother). The whole story stood a really good chance of falling apart, considering that we were all a pretty close group of people, and his mother could easily call my parents to see if he stayed over, or, in fact, could talk to me before I was briefed. Well, anyway, the next day, we were all supposed to do something (Danny was a bit of a third wheel back then), so when we got to his house, Danny ran out and quickly whispered the story to us before saying that his dad wanted to talk to us. Angela (The g/f) had the right idea and asked to use the bathroom right away, but I was stuck. Of course I was asked a barage of questions about the concert that I never attended. I was delightfully vague before I was finally hit with the big question-How were the seats? I did my best not to stutter (and kind of failed) before just hoping for the best and gave a pretty specific description of a fictional seat. However,because we had just recently seen someone perform, I described the seats that we had for that concert, and somehow, that was the seats that Danny had used for his lie. we were all off the hook and allowed to go. Before we actually went out though, we had to stop at my house. My parents were remarkably cool with keeping secrets for the kids, but we had to actually give them the story. Somehow this whole thing actually worked out, and I don't thinkhis parents ever found out where he really was. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted May 9, 2004 Recently I forgot to pick my girlfriend up from work and as I knew she'd kill me I panicked and sliced one of my tires to make it look like I wasn't able to pick her up.
