Guest Nanks Report post Posted May 12, 2004 Hugh Jackman has received a nomination for a Tony for his performance in the Broadway hit The Boy From Oz. Furthermore he has been asked to host the event. I wonder how many other Hollywood action stars have landed Tonys. It must kill the X-Men producers to watch their tough-guy Wolverine prancing around on stage singing and portraying the ultra-camp Peter Allen.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2004 The guy started in "Oklahoma" so this isn't big news to me. Hell, Lou Diamond Phillips is a Broadway actor now I do believe.

Guest Smues Report post Posted May 12, 2004 I've heard that The Boy From Oz was really really good. I don't think I've seen Jackman have a bad performance in a movie yet (doesn't mean he wasn't in a bad movie of course), so I'm not surprised.
