Guest glennsoe Report post Posted May 12, 2004 WWE.com has an article up about Chris Jericho's work on the Kiss Tribute that is being released by Koch Records. We had mentioned the CD a few months back here on the site. Jericho performs the Kiss classic, “King of the Night Time World” on the CD, which is titled Spin the Bottle: An All-Star Tribute to KISS. The second week of Lance Storm's tenure with Ohio Valley Wrestling as trainer is about up and I have heard that Storm is getting good marks for his work in the developmental territory already. I've heard Storm is getting along well with everyone and he's greatly respected for his work and attitude towards the business. I have also heard that Tough Enough 3 winner Matt Cappotelli is feeling much better from the effects of the concussion he suffered last month while working Bob Holly at a Smackdown house show and is back training at full blast in OVW. He had been suffering from dizziness and headaches while working out, similar to what Chris Nowinski has continued to deal with. There is still no timetable for Nowinski's return and if he is unable to return, I am sure WWE will find another position for him as he is well liked. WWE.com also has an article on the recent health problems that have plagued Jim Cornette. Cornette has recently been forced silent for several weeks due to an enlarged voicebox that is believed to be the result of all the years of screaming while working as a manager and commentator. Cornette commented, “No tumors, no polyps, they're just swollen and inflamed. Overused. They're tired. They want peace. … Mine are just aggravated. Really pissed off. Angry vocal chords are what I have.” He noted that doctors told him he could use several months off to rest them, but logically that's not going to happen, especially when he's producing OVW's weekly TV (which was canceled one week due to the problem). Cornette has also been seeing a voice coach for help with the problem. I do know that Cornette has told several that he has felt better after resting them. Cornette's voicebox issues are also the reason he has pulled out of working Ring of Honor dates for the time being. Today’s Pioneer Press in Minnesota is reporting that former WWE champion Brock Lesnar has a tentative workout scheduled in Phoenix, AZ for the Baltimore Ravens. To read the story, click here. Speaking of Lesnar, he attended the 5/3 edition of Raw in Phoenix, which is where he is training to get a shot at the NFL. From what I was told, Vince McMahon was very nice to Lesnar while he was there. I have heard from a number of people that Vince does not like the way that Lesnar gave very little notice before leaving WWE, but he’s smart enough to realize that Lesnar could end up coming back some day and he wants to keep things civil between them. While on the subject of Lesnar, the word I am getting is that his significant other, Sable, has not been on television lately because Brock wants her to be with him and not at TV. Her recent surgery to repair a leaky breast implant, which we wrote about when it happened, has fully healed. Sable did appear on the 5/7 Smackdown brand house show in Charlotte, NC, but was not at the show the next night in Columbia, SC. Paul Heyman was not at Smackdown and according to WWE sources is not scheduled to appear on the PPV this weekend at this time. Don't ask me why because it doesn't make any sense to me either. Then again, if they aren't going to use him to the full extent of his abilities, he is probably better off not being there. A lot of people have asked me why I think the Raw rating dropped so much this week. I honestly am at a loss for an answer. The show has been great of late as far as I am concerned so I want to see what happens next week to see if a new pattern is emerging or whether it was a one week thing

Guest SpiderFan Report post Posted May 12, 2004 I hope Cornette gets better. I always enjoined his work, as a manager and commentator. As unlikely as it is, I wouldn't mind him returning to WWE TV.
