I think we should all pay our respects to one of, or even the best, jazz drummer ever. He passed away yesterday at the age of 76. He was world renowned for his superb work with Coltrane during the early to mid 60's. Their union was responsible for such classic albums as A Love Supreme, Live at Birdland, and Crescent.

You fucking ungrateful sluts.

No one has anything to say?

Go back to critiquing your fucking Linkin Park cds.

I'd say something if I had any idea who he was aside from what you've said. Since I don't, I'm not going to trivialize someone's death with fake grief.

I'm a casual fan. There's no denying his drumming prowess.

And if anyone thinks they recognize the name, he did a guest spot on Our Lady Peace's "Stealing Babies" on the CD "Happiness...". Good stuff. He could still go, even in the later days.

I will note I had no idea that Elvin Jones played on an Our Lady Peace album, but then I cannot claim to follow either very closely.

I'm sickended by this turn of events. Our Lady Peace?

Yuck.
