Gene, I think the promo you mentioned happened at Mania 6, if it's the "wallowing in the muck of your own avarous" or something like that.  Jake's "trust me" persona was great, his promos against Macho and Taker were incredible.

yup now that i think about it it may have been from wrestlemania 6, although the idea of him doing it behind a summerslam logo is a tad confusing. And yes those "Trust Me" promos were the stuff of legends and something a certain gap-toothed Canadian should be studying chapter and verse as the basis for every promo he ever does from this moment forward.

Yup I agree. He was always sinister even as a face but no one ever played it up until he became a heel and betrayed the Ultimate Warrior in the longest and most drawnout heel turn I have ever seen, which also proved once and for all that the Warrior was dumber than anyone should legally have a right to be.

He was so much better as a heel.   His promos were always better suited for a heel type character and Jake slapping Liz was the ultimate heel act.

Also I have noticed that lately the Undertaker's promo's are starting to sound a little like Jake.
