I'm working on the Kevin Von Erich shoot for 411, I gotta give you mad props for recapping these things week in and week out. Its a lot harder than it looks.

The ability to do it is made up of three parts.

1. Have a laptop

2. Have a VCR with a decent rewind function (this being the ability to rewind to exactly where you need or, failing that, pretty close to it without having a gap between hitting play and being able to hear again)

3. Try to know a lot about the subject going in.

#3 helps A LOT when dealing with guys like Cornette who talk about obscure history. Stuff like that is when I listen to it once, rewind it, then try to translate it.

BTW, the bad experience I had translating Muta's Engrish-language shoot interview is partly why I've been slacking lately. Having to strain that hard to get as little out of it as I did took a lot out of me.

Is there a Scott Hall shoot? If so I'd be very interested in reading a recap of that if not actually being able to view the tape somehow.

I applaud anyone who can actually review these interviews, considering some run several hours, it's kind of hard to keep up with everything said.

Glad we have people willing to do this for the little people :D Time to re-read some old ones in the archives.

The Kevin Von Erich shoot was my first shoot recap, and I intend for it to be my last one. Watching it was just awesome, but then going through the whole recap was hell. Of course I got to actually correct some logical and factual errors by Kevin as well.

I know I'm wrong but it probably has to do with not supporting Rob Feinstein by buying the interviews from his "former" site.

Actually, that's part of it.

My reason for not doing shoots lately is that I "lost my smile" around the time of the RF fiasco and, since I moved into a house just after that, I'd had other things on my mind as well.

I still have shoots that I haven't reviewed, but I haven't felt into it enough to bother.
