Guest Loss Report post Posted May 26, 2004 I think the problem is not so much that there was too much of them on this show, but that there's just little interest in top storylines right now because those two guys are always going to be the top two and we've seen it over and over, regardless of how good it is. I don't put much stock in week-to-week ratings and don't think a one week drop is anything to be alarmed about, but they had a significant bump after Wrestlemania and they're now doing lower ratings than they were prior to the show. Something has gone wrong between then and now. What is it? If I had to guess, fans investing 30 minutes in Benoit/HBK, only to be turned off at the end, left a lasting impression. I don't think the rating is reflective of the quality of this show alone.
Scroby 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2004 Actually I was basing my Kane point on the fact that he won the Battle Royal last week and people don't buy him as a ME guy so they didn't tune in this week. I buy him as a main event guy, just not as much since he's stuck in the love triangle angle, but I've seen him in the main event since he lost his mask.
