Guest Report post Posted April 23, 2002 ST. LOUIS - Lita has three cracks in her neck, a CAT Scan revealed Monday, and she may require surgery. Initial tests revealed that the former World Wrestling Federation Women's Champion had a herniated disc, but were otherwise inconclusive, according to Federation Senior Vice President for Talent Relations Jim Ross. On Monday, she checked into a St. Louis hospital for further testing. After X-rays were taken, it was determined that she needed a CAT Scan, which revealed three cracks in the C6-C7 area of her vertebrae. The injury happened earlier this month in Vancouver while Lita filmed an episode of the FOX series "Dark Angel." Lita was scheduled to receive a more thorough evaluation on Monday from a surgeon in St. Louis. She will probably fly to San Antonio in the next few days to see Dr. Lloyd Youngblood, who has operated on Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Benoit and Rhyno. Youngblood may also soon be performing surgery on Scotty 2 Hotty. Lita could be out of action for several months, but exact recovery time won't be determined until she receives a complete diagnosis. Guest Report post Posted April 23, 2002 Injuries suck, but Lita is a sloppy wrestler - so if she wasn't going to injure herself one day, she definitely was going to injure someone else. Another person I could do without on the roster. Plus, less Matt Hardy is good for everyone! But, I'd keep around Jeff, because it's fun to watch him get his ass kicked. Unfortunately, with such an "unloaded" roster, I doubt Raw will be taking anyone off TV unless absolutely necessary. Though, why D'Lo Brown is working Sunday Night Heat is beyond me. BUT, am I the only one that saw her hit the back of her neck extremely hard on the announce table a couple of weeks back in a match when she did the rana from the apron to the floor on rico. She slamed hard and you saw her grab her neck right after it. I think that is where it happens. And now for the millionth time I think I have asked this without getting it answered. HOW EXACTLY IS LITA ENDANGERING ANYONE BESIDES HER SELF WITH HER RANA??? Its been like 3-4 years now and everyone is still like "Its only a matter of time before she hurts someone with her shitty-rana." So shes been doing it on every Raw, every Smackdown, and probably every House show and no body yet. Could it be that she isn't putting anyone in danger with the move??? They make her look like a clown with all that blush. She is a very pretty woman when she doesn't look like she has been getting slapped for about 15 minutes before she comes out. But im wondering about something, they keep on saying that the injury occured on the set, and i see that she is sloppy as hell in the ring, just imagine how sloppy she probably was in doing that stunt that led up to her injury. I don't know ..i maybe wrong but i think that injury was already there , and she didn't know it..considering how shytty she is in da ring and always lands awkward when attempting any move, and that stunt just made it worse..and i think it did occur when she was "wrestling"...and i agree with whoever said it probably happened when she did that sloppy ayz move on rico.. But considering how well she trains, which is laughable, i think if this requires surgery, she will never be the same "wrestler" again, i shrudder to think what she's gonna look like in da ring after she comes back. Sorry it happened but i won't miss seeing her on my t.v screen, because everytime they do a close up and i see that nasty face and the pounds of makeup, they put on her to make her look halfway decent..smoke comes out of my t.v..and that's not a good thing..but a bad thing... Before Lita, they were a couple of daredevil highflyers. After Lita, they became a ridiculously pussyfied "fan-friendly" version of their former selves, clad is lame purple "Team X-Treme" shirts, and Jeff becoming as flaming as humanly possible. I was so happy when Matt turned on Lita, but of course they canned that angle, so it looks like it's more blue pigtails and weak-ass offense for the fans. Yay!
