1-n-only new wwf developmental wrestlers thread!

Well a couple of weeks ago in the Ross Report good ol' Jimbo said the WWF was expecting hand out a few developmental cotnracts soon. I know the first wave was Nova, Jason Sugarman, Dawn Marie, and Kim Nielsen. (Btw did these guys get invited to camps or jsut get signed on the spot?)

Anyway how many camps or individual tryouts have the WWF had recently? Who attended? Any other cotnracts given out. I read soemthing here that Daffney was at a tryout camp a little while ago and that's all I know who got there.

Also I read this on the LAW-

--MSNBC last night ran a feature on wrestling training with April Hunter (who will be at the WWF try-out camp starting tomorrow in Cincinnati, former WCW NWO girl) training under Mike Hollow at Walter Kowalski's school (thanks to Kyle Wolf)

And that is all I know about the recent developmental situation. BTW did anyone see that piece?

So in conclusino anyone have any other notes on this topic? Give me your thoughts on anything to do with the topic too.

Ah I knew Id find this. Anyway I got some developmental new from the Observer and altwrestling.net

Guys that could get brought up

Dave Meltzer reports that the Island Boyz, Steve Bradley, Jamie Knoble, and Shannon Moore, all of whom work for the HWA, have been told that they all may soon be called to active WWF duty. We will have more on this pentacle of prospects in our “WWF Future Stars” section soon after this posting, but they are all top-rim talents. Bradley actually arrived in the company’s old Memphis developmental territory, Power Pro Wrestling, at the same time Kurt Angle did in early-1999, and, initially, most onlookers thought Bradley was the more talented of the two.

Guys that were just signed

Meltzer also broke the news in this week’s Observer Newsletter that Kevin Fertig (Memphis-based wrestler “Seven”) and Doug “The Machine” Basham (an excellent OVW wrestler, as I detailed in the OVW portion of my Friday column) have signed $500-a-week developmental deals with the WWF, while indie standout AJ Styles is still mulling his over. Dave Scherer corroborated the story later in the week and also confirmed that Jim Ross and his team have offered similar deals to cruiswerweights Matt Stryker and Chad Collyer of the HWA, as well as to superheavyweight indie wrestlers Travis Tomko (former Limp Bizkit bodyguard) and Matt Morgan (of “Tough Enough I” fame). According to Meltzer, 18-year-old former Matrats participant Rene Dupree may also be tendered a contract proposal.

This all came from the end of March I think so anyone have the status with these guys? And what the hell is Matrats?

Cant wait till Knoble gets called up. Actually want to see the Island Boys too, just to get another tag team. If there is any justice, they will team Hurricane and Nova!!

I know that Eric Bischoff was involved at one time or another, he still may be involved. Here's what I've read about it.

Based in Calgary, if the fed is even still around, it's largely made up of wreslters which fit the cruiserweight and jr. heavyweight-type of class, with the fed emphasizing on ringwork and athleticism. MatRats is aimed towards teens and the young crowd, also featuring teen performers in the ring.

I know it sounds somewhat silly, but I've read good things about it. They have a site, www.MatRats.com, but for me it's showing up as "Not Found".
