Old School Territory

With the Maryland (Baltimore to be specific) area virtually being burned to the ground by past promoters, what would you look for and/or accept in an indy territory? There are alot of good workers in the area and some good promotions. Some dont want to be the NEXT ECW or copy ROH. Would you accept an old school territory? Local guys fighting in local venues doing local tv in front of a studio audience, or even at the wrestling school, of a 100 or so people hyping the big shows. Most areas have free public access channels, so tv costs wouldnt be a factor. That is actually how MCW was on TV. Still using Maryland as an example...since that is where I am...Maryland is a big state. MEWF stuck with Dundalk, MCW generally stayed in Glen Burnie, NWL has been in Hagerstown for years and still doing business. Several counties and even Baltimore City has been neglected by promoters. You could drive south for 4 to 5 hours from where I live and still be in Maryland. Could a promoter today do an old school territory? Harford County one weekend, Wicomico County the next, Frederick County the next followed by Baltimore City? That would still leave several counties in the area. Just a question.

I think it could definately work, but it would take way too much work for one man to handle. You would have to figure out a way to promote it and get others to do the same. It would take a lot of money out of your pocket just to start. Also on top of that.....you have to find talent, pay them something, and get them to do it again. In other words this is almost impossible........or something.
