TNABaddboi 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Matches for 6/11: Kid Kash vs. Amazing Red Frankie Kazarian vs. AJ Styles The Naturals and David Young vs. 3LK Monty Brown vs. Sonny Siaki Team Mexico vs. Team Canada EDIT: This is the correct order. You would think AJ/Kazarian would be the main event, but then again, I probably would have thought the tag match would have main evented last week before seeing the show. Anyway, I am not sure if it's for the title, but I would assume it is. Hopefully they protect Frankie, because jobbing to AJ twice in 2 days is going to kill his heat. Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted June 11, 2004 They probably did it in the middle of the show so they could give it the time they wanted.
TNABaddboi 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 They probably did it in the middle of the show so they could give it the time they wanted. Yeah, that will probably be the match that they go to commercial during, kind of like the tag title match last week. It's interesting that they are redoing Monty/Siaki. Didn't they just do that on PPV about a week ago?
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Yeah, but they'll probably introduce all the mid to upper card guys to the new audience with squash matches over the next month.
TNABaddboi 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 I didn't see their first match. Was it any good at all?
TNABaddboi 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Sorry for the double post, but speaking of non-spoiler Impact matches, I know that this isn't a preview listed for the show on the company's website. This is ridiculous. If they can list a preview for a live PPV, they surely could list a preview for a taped show. I think they should definitely list all matches that aren't directly set up from angles on the show in advance, because as the buzz of the new show wears off, people need a reason to go out of their way to watch or tape the show, especially in this horrible timeslot. I think not having a preview is a bad move on TNA's part.
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted June 11, 2004 I couldn't understand why they wouldn't put up a preview anyway considering that they could pull in more viewers that way. Honestly, the show wasn't a big enough hit to expect people to watch without knowing what is going to be on.
Magus 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 i'm still wondering why they're flying Raven and Sabu down there and paying them to work when they don't even put them on the show. wtf?

Honestly, the show wasn't a big enough hit to expect people to watch without knowing what is going to be on. They could have at least acknowledged that there would be a rematch between AJ and Kazarian. I'm sure people who didn't order the PPV but read the results of the match being quite good might be tempted to tune in to see them go at it again. I think they need to announce at least 2 of the matches each week in order to draw people in. They can do the rest on the fly if they'd like.
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Yea, they should announce the Main Event at least. And as far as Raven and Sabu not being on the show, maybe they are filming some stuff with them for teh PPV?

Maybe Douglass will interview Raven again or interview Dutt and Sabu. Just acknowledge the damn storyline and their presence on your roster TNA! !!!
Magus 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 agreed. i'm glad there's more focus on the X Division, but in my opinion, Raven vs. Sabu could be a H-U-G-E angle for TNA (if it culminates in one of them winning the World Title from Leonard). i look forward to seeing more of it, as its just now building up. I agree. This angle could be huge and could push one of them closer to the title, even though I don't think TNA would put the belt on Sabu. After such a hot start, I would hope they don't just ignore it today.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted June 11, 2004 No one gives a flying fuck about Sabu. He should in no way be pushed by TNA because the average fan doesn't know who he is and most Smarks think he's a piece of shit who hasn't been useful since the early 90s. Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted June 11, 2004 I don't think raven sabu will work. Here's why: First of all, the build up. It makes Sabu seem like a puss for not wanting to fight Raven. Keeping a promise? This is supposed to be some maniac. Not some family man. Secondly, teh match itself most likely suck. Sabu just isn't that good of a worker. And Third, have they missed the boat? Do people WANT to see sabu and raven fight anymore? I just don't know...

I'd have to say your totally right about that. Sabu is a very solid character and could be made into a very good one for TNA, but outside of that and in the ring.......he's the shits.
