Who's kicked out of the most finishers?

Recommended Posts

Guest evenflowDDT

Hey, this is something I've been wondering about ever since Backlash, where I saw Kurt Angle kick out of Edge's finisher (and Edge do the same... two Angle Slams?).  Anyhow, in my year and several months of watching wrestling, I've also seen Angle kick out of the Stone Cold Stunner (actually, three Stone Cold Stunners), Rock Bottom, and People's Elbow.  I'm sure there's also been many others.

This leads to my question, which the topic clearly states.  What other wrestlers are allowed to kick out of finishers a lot? Who's kicked out of the most? I'm guessing it'd be Hogan since it seems he can get away with anything by "Hulking up"

It probably is Hogan with Rock running close behind in second place.

Hogan

but i'll always remember how Goldberg got attacked by nash, hall, and it was either sid or bret. then he got pinned for the three but as soon as the three got counted he kicked out. becuase it would have hurt his character to sell for more than 3 seconds

There's always the time when the Ultimate Warrior kicked out of 5 Macho King Flying Elbows.

Wrestlemania 17; How many Stunners and Chair shots did The Rock kick out of?

Undertaker has No-Sold a "few" finishers.

Goldberg.

Hogan dropped I think 2 or 3 legs on him and he kicked out before 2! What the hell?

He kicked out of plenty of finishers, you just couldn't pin him.

Lesnar seems to be headed there right now, making the Swanton look weak.  That kind of sux for Jeff.

Man speaking of Hardyz / Lesnar, how about that 2nd and then top rope legdrops one after the other form Matt?  Cool.

Kane kicked out of the tombstone twice at WM14 against Undertaker and stayed down barely for the three count after the third tombstone.

Rock will kick out of 4-5 finisher per big match.  Then he goes on to job to the guy.

Nobody has kicked out of more finishers than Hogan. Every match he EVER had would end with the opponent's finisher either kicked out of or directly no-sold.

I see your Hogan and raise you Undertaker.

Seriously, The Dead Man has managed to make an entire career out of no-selling finishers. When he sat up in the middle of Flair's figure four even my friend commented "Okay, if they were really doing that his legs would be near broken right now."

Hogan kicked out of a good number of finishers during the Hulkamania age, but that cooled down a bit later, if I've heard correctly.

The match with the most kick outs and shoulder raises would have be the X-Seven ME though. One man could drop a car on the other and it would have gotten two.

Diesel jack-knifed Undertaker two times at WM12 and couldn't pin him. Although, he stalled to pin both times.

Ever since ive watched wrestling Hogan has kicked out of finishers from Macho Man, Curt Hennig,  Warrior, Rick Rude, Sting, The Giant etc.... I even saw Hogan power out of Sting's Scorpion Death Lock once.  This guy usually did not like to job to finishers.

Let's not foget Big Show kicking out of the PerfectPlex, at one.

Also, I'm sure Jericho must have kicked out of a finisher at some time in hius career. Surely?

He kicked out of an Olympic Slam at No Way Out 2000. Although it really didn't look like an Olympic Slam, but JR and King sold it like it was.

Hogan definetly.

He would always get hit with a finisher and then "Hulk up".  Big Boot and Legdrop later and the match is over.
