These days 6-man

Recommended Posts

Guest The Mighty Damaramu

You know I was watching MPro These Days for like the 1000th time the other day. And I saw the 6-Man with Tiger Mask/Mil Mascaras/Great Sasuke vs. Dos Caras/Kobayashi/Dynamite Kid. And all of the older guys in the match did really well.

Despite being 50 pounds heavier Sayama could still move.

Mil Mascaras was entertaining.

Kobayashi didn't do anything horrible like Hogan does these days(and every day of his career)

and Dynamite Kid could barely move but he still worked hard.

My question is....do all older guys in Japan still work like this? Like work good?

And even if you think the work in that match wasn't very good it's still better than things old guys in America do....*cough*Hogan*cough*.

Well just look at Tenryu he is in his 50's and he still busts his ass in the ring and puts on great matchs.

As far as Old Guys working in Japan, if you ever watch All Japan tapes, the worst thing you'll see are those comedy 6-man tags usually featuring Giant Baba.  Baba commands respect of course, but in the 90's, he just plain brought the suck (except on rare occasion when some young kids named Misawa, Kawada and Kobashi were opposing him ;))

Not all older guys in Puroresu work hard (Riki Choshu springs to mind) but generally they do tend to work far harder than their North American counterparts, mainly due to the Puroresu work ethic being drummed into them during the early stages of their training/career.
