Guest Patorick Report post Posted April 24, 2002 Don't you think it's ironic how almost two years to the day after Big Show imitated Hogan in his match against Angle at Backlash 2000, Hogan won the WWF title? That had to be one of the best comedy matches, ever. Show-Angle was pretty funny to.

Guest Risk Report post Posted April 24, 2002 It remains to be seen if the WWF can become cutting-edge again. Booking Hogan as your company's World Heavyweight Champion isn't a step into the future, it's a step into the past. Believe me, the WWF does NOT want to relive the Hogan era of the past. Guest notJames Report post Posted April 24, 2002 Yeah... just look for the next nWo member to be one of the following: a) Fred "Tugboat/Shockmaster" Ottman b) Ed "Man of 1001 Personas" Leslie c) Virgil Wake me when Jericho regains the title...
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted April 24, 2002 While we're at it, let's harken back to the days of the Huckster and the Nacho Man. There were countless derisive comments made about Hogan's age and wrestling ability in those skits, and that was six or seven years ago.
Guest Smeghead Report post Posted April 25, 2002 Wake me when Jericho regains the title... See you in about five years then. Pleasant dreams.
Guest Report post Posted April 25, 2002 Come on guys... you do know that Hogan's reign is short term right? It's a given. This is his retirement run, so stop making it sound like he's going to have another 4 year title reign when in reality he probably won't even have the title in 2 months

This is his retirement run, so stop making it sound like he's going to have another 4 year title reign when in reality he probably won't even have the title in 2 months What indication do you have that he's going to lose it? Furthermore, how many times has there been talk of "Hogan's final run" that conveniantly see's him winning a world title? I'll believe both when I see them, thank you very much. The WWF is in full Hogan nostalgia mode, and no one else is being built up to take the strap off him. Jericho is JTS for now, HHH isn't much better a champ than Hogan at this point, and putting the title on Taker is practically suicide. Besides, reality isn't that big a factor right now in an age where a balding man who can't take a back bump has the world title.
Guest Report post Posted April 25, 2002 Hogan is not going to be a long term champion. I know he's the internet whipping boy, and deservedly so, but I feel and I think the WWF feels that Hogan needs to go out with a standing legacy... and a happy ending. By giving him a short run with the WWF title, that legacy is restored. Actually, to tell you the truth... the story is quite compelling in a George Foreman type way... an aging former star who no one thinks can go back on top, comes back and shocks the world... one last time. Guest chirs3 Report post Posted April 25, 2002 Haha, Nacho Man and Hukster ruled all. Billionaire Ted: Now, now, how about we call you the ah, the ah, the "boy toy"? Yea... yeaha, ha...
Guest Report post Posted April 25, 2002 Anyone who thinks Hogan is gonna sick around for a while has got to be kidding themselves. This is without a doubt Hogans last run. He got the fans on his side, what better way to go out than on top. Not to mention that "Hulkamania" cant carry his body for another year, or another couple of months for that matter. This is nothing more than a nostolgic bit of wrestling that will end when Hogan loses the title, and his rematch. Besides, do you think the WWF is gonna repeat the history that sealed WCW's fate? The WWF is just gonna ride this for all it's worth then let Hogan retire.
