AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2004 Okay--I have a PS2 but no PS1. I could get a good deal on Time Crisis with a Guncon (1). So, is that all I need to play the game? Would the Guncon work with the PS2? OR do I need to have a Guncon 2? I've heard from several peeps "likely" I just can use the Guncon, but nobody is certain. Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted June 20, 2004 Personally, I'd get a Guncon 2 to be on the safe side. EDIT: removed the picture and some incorrect info.
Anya 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2004 Yeah, it works. Playing TC1 on PS2 right now. You can even use the GC1 to play some GC2 games, like TC 2.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2004 Yeah, the one in the picture is what I would be getting, with the yellow plug. It's grey, but otherwise looks the same. An adapter though? **** What would it look like, BTW? If a Guncon 2's going to run me 15-20 bucks, and it would only be 5 or so for an adapter (used, likely), I'll stick with the Guncon 1. Does Point Blank! work with it?

It didn't come with any of the plugs, so he used the plugs from the first PS1 model. In retrospect, he should have bought a new AV cord (the kind that comes with the PS2) instead of the Guncon adapter.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2004 So, I just plug that yellow cord in between the yellow A/V cable and the TV, and plug the controller plug into the PS2 port, and I should be in business?
Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted June 20, 2004 I think so. Anyanka/Sakura would know better than me, but as far as I know, it goes like this: PS2 yellow plug>>>Guncon yellow plug>>>TV.
Anya 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2004 All 3 Point Blanks work with GC1, but not GC2. So, I just plug that yellow cord in between the yellow A/V cable and the TV, and plug the controller plug into the PS2 port, and I should be in business? Yes. It's really easy. AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2004 Okay. I got Time Crisis and the Guncon, and it worked just as you described, Anyanka. Thanks. All 3 Point Blanks work with GC1, but not GC2.... Yeah, it works. Playing TC1 on PS2 right now. You can even use the GC1 to play some GC2 games, like TC 2. Guncon 2 kinda sucks.
Anya 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2004 Guncon 2 is so much better. Lighter, more buttons and better button placement. TC 2 is better than TC 1 too.
