Llakor 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2004 Canadian Wrestling on Pay Per View The fourth edition of Pro-Wrestling Superstars: Past, Present and Future debuts on Viewer's Choice Pay Per View, Friday June 25th, 2004 at 8:00 pm, 9:30 pm and 11:30 pm. This episode has perhaps the best wrestling of the series to date featuring two world tag champs at the start of their career, a clash between Canada and the United States, a match pitting a world famous student against his teacher and a grudge match from Quebec. And all of this for the incredibly reasonable price of $5.99. The Pay Per View kicks off with a match from the Quebec based Internet Wrestling Syndicate pitting "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen against Beef Wellington. Steen, barely twenty, is already considered one of the finest technical wrestler's of his generation. Sadly, Steen knows just how good he is and that arrogance is fast making him one of the most despised wrestlers in Canada. In fact, it is just that arrogance that resulted in a confrontation between Kevin Steen and his former training partner, Beef Wellington. Possibly the funniest wrestler in Canada, Beef Wellington turned serious for this match, an intense and bloody brawl. Also from Quebec, IWS ring announcer Brian the Guppie sat down for a candid interview with former three time WWF tag team champion, Pierre Carl Ouellet. Tune in to hear PCO discuss his career which has taken him all over the world. Johnny Devine and Petey Williams take on Jerry Lynn in a three way dance that became a battle of countries. Devine and Williams are both Canadians, with Petey Williams especially well known for representing his country in international competition. But can the two Canadians stay a team to take out the tremendously talented Jerry Lynn representing the United States? In wrestling no relationship is more important than the one between the student and the teacher. There is a time to learn, a time to teach... and a time to kick your teacher in the teeth. In the past few years, no teacher/student confrontation has been more fractious than the one between Lo-Ki and his teacher Homicide. Lo-Ki, one of the most talented wrestlers in the world, is reknowned for his hard stiff strikes in the ring which he learned from Homicide. Of course the question is: when Homicide taught Lo-Ki everything Lo-Ki knows, what wrestling tricks did he hold back? The concluding match is an historic confrontation from the archives of Border City Wrestling pitting Sexton Hardcastle and Christian Cage against BCW legends Arrogant Otis Apollo and Denny Kaas. What makes this tag team match so special is that Sexton Hardcastle and Christian Cage went on to become WWF tag team champs as the team of Christian and Edge.
