On July 10th 2004 the entire world of professional wrestling will be taken by storm with SUMMER SHOWDOWN , when the largest independent extravaganza in the history of the professional wrestling rolls into Wilmington, North Carolina with all the BIG guns blazing, blasting the roof off of the house and leveling the town to ashes with a deadly Molotov cocktail of explosive wrestling feuds and grueling battles which will surely test the outer-limits of human endurance.

 

The atmosphere will be electric as to a wall of sound and fans experience the ultimate in sports entertainment up close and personal with a large-scale entrance stage set, computerized lighting systems & pulsating original music which will combine to set the scene for this historic occasion featuring a eclectic star-studded array of world recognized wrestlers and a loaded card jam packed full of incredible main events, shocks and surprises, that will go down in history as one of the greatest events ever.

So yeah, looks like a pretty good card. I'll be at Myrtle Beach that week, so I think I'll try to drive up and catch it. NACW normally puts on pretty good live shows.

That card doesn't look that great to me. I mean, it has Buff Bagwell AND Rick Stiener? That doesn't bode to well. Steamboat, Miyamoto, D-Lo and CW are okay/good, but they really don't cancel out a bunch of hacks and people I've never heard of. I wouldn't go to the show.

North Carolina is so starved of independent wrestling that shows like this will usually draw atleast 200-500 fans and sometimes up to 700. L.A.W. Pro Wrestling has a television show around here using almost the exact same roster and their arena is usually packed. We need Ring of Honor!

NACW's last live televised event drew close to 700, but it had half the named talent than this show. This one should probably be pretty big.

 

Yeah, I've seen LAW a couple of times live, and their shows are usually pretty bad.
