I've been Dusty Rhodes' # 1 fan since I started watching the sport in 1975. What's his role in TNA?

ANSWER: In addition to wrestling on select TNA PPV events, Dusty has been a judge on our FoxSportsNet IMPACT! shows. "The Dream" even joined Don West and I at the announce position on Friday's (6/18/04) IMPACT! when he was the latest victim of Jeff Jarrett's guitar.

What was it like to be in the movie "Ready To Rumble"?

ANSWER: It was a fun experience to work with a crew that included David Arquette, Scott Caan, Oliver Platt, Rose McGowan, Martin Landau and Joe Pantoliano among others. I remember it being a very demanding schedule since we were flying in and out of Los Angeles to broadcast Nitro, Thunder and PPV events during the filming. It was an interesting homecoming for me since the wrestling scenes were all shot at L.A.'s Olympic Auditorium, the same building where I regularly attended wrestling as a fan.

What you may not know is that the announcing scenes were all filmed with an empty ring. The movie's director, Brian Robbins ("Varsity Blues"), would verbally lay out a scene and I'd call the action accordingly. I also remember some interesting visitors to the set including Marilyn Manson (McGowan's boyfriend at the time), Pee Wee Herman (friend of Arquette) and Courtney Cox (obviously Arquette's wife).

I love this column! Was Mr. Aguila ever Essa Rios?

ANSWER: Yes. Team AAA's Aguila wrestled as Essa Rios in the WWF.

Is it true that Christopher Daniels was injured in Japan? Will we see him again on TNA?

ANSWER: Daniels injured his shoulder on 6/1/04 in a match against Katsuhiko Nakajima in Japan. Judging by Primetime's comments in a recent TV interview, The Fallen Angel should return in July or August.

FROM: JASON M. STANLEY

Has Shane Douglas officially retired as a wrestler to join the TNA broadcast team? IMPACT! is simply awesome!

ANSWER: Douglas may still make an occasional in-ring appearance, but for now he's concentrating on his interviewing duties in TNA.

FROM: MIKE HAYNES (KANSAS CITY, KANSAS)

NWA TNA is now, by far, the superior product in wrestling today. I haven't missed IMPACT! yet. Petey Williams' Canadian Destroyer is the best move in the biz currently. Where has Johnny Devine been?

ANSWER: Team Canada's Devine has been on a leave of absence, but Coach Scott D'Amore promises he will return soon.

What is OVW?

ANSWER: OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) is the WWE's developmental promotion run by Jim Cornette.

FROM: JOE (CLIFTON, ARIZONA)

I've been a fan of your announcing for years. Will TNA PPVs ever be shown on DISH network? I love IMPACT! and wish I could enjoy seeing your PPVs as well.

ANSWER: TNA recently met once again with DISH and we're hoping they add our PPVs to their line-up. Contact them directly and tell them you want your TNA ... every Wednesday on PPV!

FROM: BYRON NICHOLS JR.

I just finished watching IMPACT! and thought it was great. It's the only wrestling show my 7 year old can watch with me. Are your PPVs kid friendly?

ANSWER: Yes! I truly believe that when the history of TNA is written, our association with FoxSportsNet will be recognized for it's importance in keeping the product fan and family friendly

FROM: JEROMEY RATLIFF (JONESBORO, ARKANSAS)

I enjoy watching IMPACT! and the PPVs. I am a huge fan of A.J. Styles and I'm wondering if a DVD of his best matches will be available?

ANSWER: Yes! Don West and I recently filmed the stand-ups for "Phenomenal: The Best Of A.J. Styles", a DVD which will be available very soon. Pre-Order >>

I just recently started to watch TNA and I attended the first IMPACT! taping. WHAT A SHOW!!! I couldn't believe some of Amazing Red's and Chris Sabin's moves.

ANSWER: Mike's e-mail was one of over 800 that I've received in the last two weeks. Thanks to all of you for sending along your positive comments about IMPACT!

FROM: BUEF LIGHT (KINGSPORT, TN.)

What are Mil Mascaras, Buddy Rose and Colonel DeBeers doing now?

FROM: DANIEL REED

I was blown away by IMPACT! While watching an episode of RAW, I noticed ads for TNA. Does Vince McMahon own TNA as well? Is than an elaborate scheme to create WWE vs. TNA?

ANSWER: No, Vince McMahon doesn't own TNA. TNA purchased ad time on RAW to introduce our product to wrestling fans.

I hate stupid people. Good to hear marks are enjoying Impact, if those aren't fabricated, of course.

Ye god's. Still . . . I don't think it match's the 'Is CM Punk Jeff Hardy?' or 'Is Mordecai Jeff Hardy?' questions. . . that's just rank stupiditiy right there.

Was Devine any good? Since I never saw him, I don't quite know . . . but does the promised return of him bode well?

Evans= spotmonkey to the MAX. Not that that's bad. He's great. He's also Eminem for Wrestling.

Devine= Average with some good spottyness. Kinda bland though.

I don't mind 'spotmonkeys' though . . . it's quite the derogatory term, but still the spot's are impressive the first few times you see them. And since most 'spotmonkeys' are only used a couple of times there's little staleness involved.

And since I see them even less, they're even more impressive.

God damnit this is the 3rd time I've tried to post this it better work.

It didn't. Fourth times the charm? Damn cheap stolen internet.
