Guest whitemilesdavis Report post Posted June 28, 2004 I wanted to comment on Impact since I finally remembered to tape an episode. 1) The show looks great. That's the first thing you notice. This whole deal with Universal may turn out to be a great idea. This does not look like an indy show, it looks major league. 2) The 6 sided ring is a gimmick. That being said, shouldn't that be played on at some time during the show? It just seems odd, like "Ooh, we're different, we gotta 6 sided ring" but then that difference never comes into play. I say get rid of it, the traditional ring works fine. 3) The wrestling style needs to change a tad. A lot of the spots looked to contrived. This kills the credibility of a match. I'm all for high spots, but for God's sakes, a LITTLE psychology, please. 4) Tenay is the best in the business. He should be a huge asset to them as time goes on. 5) I've been a Truth mark for a while now, but I must say AJ is phenomenal. With the new audience, he's the one they should be marketing as they're star. He's the only one who can pull of the X-style and make it believable. Give him the belt and about a 6 month long reign.
