Guest SoZe Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 I was really surprised at how hot the crowds were for those tag matches. Slamboree's 3-way was the opening match, which always seems to have good heat, but the crowd was WAY into the Spring Stampede match as well. Anyone else notice how HUGE those arena were?? Both looked to be over 25,000 people in there. Jesus, it boggles the mind that the company could be dead less than 3 years after being on top of the ratings wars.
Scroby Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 La parka suffered really badly from the breakup of the LWO, His only memorable Nitro appearance before the Russo era was in that Mexican Hardcore match which had the worst announcing i've ever seen. Nah not really, he was with the powers to be. He'd be in the backround of the office or sitting next to Russo strumming away on his chair.....La Parka kicks ass.

Yeah, I personally think WCW was better in '99 than WWE, they had a few crappy storylines but you could still count on the cruiserweights, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Raven, Perry Saturn, and even a few of the main eventers to put on good/great matches.
PLAGIARISM! Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 It's always good to remember Perry Saturn. <o>
