Booking that benefited nobody but you

There were a lot of times when things happened that left me scratching my head and pondering, "why the fuck are they doing this?" There were other times in which I was scratching my head but enjoying it. One such instance was Howard Stern's Wack Pack appearing on Nitro and Thunder during the fall of 2000. It didn't make much sense to have Jeff Jarrett feud with the midget Beetlejuice, but I laughed my ass off and now I am a Beetlejuice fan. Are there any instances that you can think of in which it seemed like there was booking that didn't make a lot of sense, but catered to your liking?

Jobbing Goldberg. Goldberg was one of the only things WcW had going right and jobbing him out hurt the company. How Ever, I was more then happy to see him lose. Hate that Prick.

Nitro in Toronto where Bret Hart wore the metal plating under his shirt and dared Goldberg to spear him.  I thought is was the best thing when he got knocked unconscious by Bret's gut.

Are you talking about a guilty pleasure?  Well, I would have to say Miss Sapphire.  I mean, sure it was embarrasing to see a 345 pound black woman dressed as an f'n bumblebee, but, c'mon!  :D

I couldn't help but stare for a moment.  10 minutes later it's still enjoyable.

I loved the Val Venis charactor when he first came into the wwf and start banging all the ladies.  He was funny, dirty, and he could wrestle too.  Now he lowered himself to playing the Big Valbowski and jobbing on Metal.

I enjoyed that sad imitation "War Games" that Russo did on Nitro in Sept. 2000.  Overbooked to the max, with that stupid "Triple Cage", but I found it to be a fun match, and it kept my interest.

I like Shane McMahon.  I think all the McMahon's are overexposed, but I'm not that critical of it when Shane's around.  Or when Steph is falling out of her top ;).

I was going to say Val too. Some of his early stuff was pretty funny. Dare I say even the "choppy, choppy" incident.

Dusty Rhodes making Ric Flair "kiss his ass" in the final days of WCW was also up there.

Come to think of it, Mr. Ass was also pretty funny. Must have been the theme music....

Seeing HHH get squashed at Wrestlemania XII was pretty enjoyable.

When Booker T was besting the Rock leading into Summerslam, I was the happiest man in the world. I thought big things were in store for Booker T, he's a funny guy but I would like him to get a title run as a heel.

I also liked watching X-Pac come down to the ring with his hands in the air. I probably was the only one enjoying watching him reign supreme during the Invasion even though his matches were very entertaining.

I also enjoyed the entire Misfits In Action angle. Even the GI Bro period.  Sure, the utter stupidity of the MIA's feuds with the Filthy Animals, Team Canada, and the like, probably did nothing to help either team, but I found the whole thing to be entertaining.

I would also like to throw another vote for Shane McMahon.  I always marked out when I saw him do his stupid dance.

The Cat with the Jung Dragons with his sparring partners.

I also enjoyed the entire Oddities angle.  I seemed to enjoyed it, but, sadly, not many other people seemed to.  Ah well.

While I was never a big fan of the Road Dog I thought it was hilarious at Royal Rumble 2000 when he spent a majority of the match hiding in the corner underneath the ropes.  Such an obvious but ingenious strategy.
