Guest KANE Posted April 25, 2002 Report Posted April 25, 2002 Being a child of the 80s is more than meets the eye!
Guest El Satanico Posted April 26, 2002 Report Posted April 26, 2002 argh...i'm not even going to comment on THAT Back to the topic at hand...I'm going to get the boxset next week.
Guest starvenger Posted April 26, 2002 Report Posted April 26, 2002 Being a child of the 80s is more than meets the eye! Man, that was a bad pun. I'll be buying it this weekend...
Guest KANE Posted April 26, 2002 Report Posted April 26, 2002 The plots, the dialogue and the editing can be atrocious, but the nostalgia factor alone is well worth the price of admission. Of course, if you already own "Transformers: The Movie" you are already aware of this. They did a lot for this release: all 16 first-season episodes on 3 discs, a couple animation cells, not to mention they give you a whole disc of special features.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted April 26, 2002 Report Posted April 26, 2002 Interesting how a nostalgia factor is OK for Transformers and not for Hulk Hogan's title run. Oh yea, I forgot, Transformers rule, that's why . In all seriousness though, I own the movie on DVD, and even though its cool, I was never a big enough Transformers fan to watch it a lot. It's nice to see that for the multitudes of fans who do appreciate and watch it a lot, that they're putting out the seasons too. Are they the same ones as on TV, or are they the original Japanese ones that I heard were more violent?
Guest Posted April 26, 2002 Report Posted April 26, 2002 I'll be buying it (when it arrives up here in Canada in another week). I own the movie and really enjoy it. I seem to remember the TV series sucking after the movie because they changed a lot of the characters. I can't recall how many seasons the show had until the movie came out. Btw, I really hope they'll release G.I. Joe season 1 as well. I loved that show as much as Transformers, and chances are we'll NEVER see it on TV again since it has guns and Cobra are terrorists. Funny how stuff that was okay for kids 15 years ago is bad for them now. We're going backwards instead of forwards.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted April 26, 2002 Report Posted April 26, 2002 Interesting how a nostalgia factor is OK for Transformers and not for Hulk Hogan's title run. Transformers have work rate, and even Optimus Prime jobbed in the end.
Guest Human Fly Posted April 28, 2002 Report Posted April 28, 2002 I was shocked when they killed of Prime in the movie. I can't wait to get my copy of the box set. TF is one of my favorites of all time.

Anyways, Hogan could be cool too if he could transform himself into a car or something. Granted, he'd be a Model T or something, but still...
Guest KOR420 Posted April 30, 2002 Report Posted April 30, 2002 Damn!(Farooq) I forgot this came out, whats the running price for that bad boy?
Guest KANE Posted May 2, 2002 Report Posted May 2, 2002 You'll drop in the neighborhood of $50 on it.
