I want Phoenix to win cuz I am from Phoenix and it would be really cool after the D'Backs won but we all know that won't happen. But since Phoenix won't win, I atleast hope it is my other fav team, Flyers!!!

Well, it looks like neither of those teams is even leaving the first round, so good luck.  As for me, I think my sig basically says it all as for whom I'm rooting for, and I think they can pull it off, even without Sundin, Renberg, Yuskevich, etc.  I don't think Detroit has the legs to go all the way.  If they make it past the Canucks, a one-legged Steve Yzerman can only take you so far.

I'd like to see the Kings win it all, but the way things are going now it's doubtful they'll make it out of the first round.

 

If not the Kings i wouldn't mind San Jose going far.

Well, draft-wise I'm needing a NJ-Col rematch.

 

As far as teams I actually like go, I wouldnt mind seeing the Habs, the Islanders or the Canucks do well.   Even the Sharks wouldn't be bad, although now that they have gotten rid of the underdog status for the first time in team history, I find myself cheering for them less (although I've been predicting big things in the future for them the past few seasons).

Yeah I know, but there are miracles, sometimes. I just hope that the Red Wings don't win. I hate them.

I have to go with Colorado again this year.  They have too strong of an offence, and they have the best goaltender of all time.  Hard to argue with those facts.  Plus they are my team so I have to cheer for them too.

Colorado's offense sucks this year.  Granted Forsberg was out all year, but if you can't score more than a goal a game against the Kings, you are not doing it against Hasek.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong here, but 11 goals in 5 games equates to more than one goal a game.  And thats without 40 goal scorer Milan Hedjuk, who's set for a return shortly.

I do not care who wins as long the Red Wings or the Flyers do not win.  The Flyers are gone, so that is one down.  I would not mind though if the finals were some series that no one could have predicted like San Jose vs. Ottawa or Carolina or something.

I have to say this about the Eastern conference.  I'm getting ahead of myself here, but if the 4 teams that advance are Toronto, Ottawa, Carolina, and Montreal (2 of which have already won their series), then the Leafs are the best team in that bunch, even without Sundin, in my opinion.  You just know that CBC is hoping for an all-Canadian Conference Final, too, guaranteeing a Canadian team in the final for the first time since 1994.

Excuse me, 2 GAG, and a total of 3 goals in the last 4 games. They scored less in the regualr season than any other western playoff team.   If it wasn't for Pat Wah, the Av's wouldn't have even made the playoffs.

Im pulling for the Sharks, but i dont think that they can topple Colorado or Detroit...

Phoenix is out (like there was any doubt they'd lose in the first round anyway)

The Rangers didn't even make it

Dallas didn't even make it

The Wings make a nice first round comeback against a good Vancouver team after losing the first two at home.

 

First choice would be the Wings winning the Cup but Toronto,Montreal or San Jose would all be nice options.Carolina to a lesser extent,I suppose.St.Louis ..not preferred.Colorado....they got the Cup for Mr.Bourque which was nice.....you have reached your limit.No soup for you.

My upset pick for the playoffs would have to be Carolina.  I mean this team must be able to get by the second round at some point and I think their team is good enough this year.
