Guest Brush with Greatness Report post Posted April 26, 2002 Did anyone else catch the episode of SportsDox on the whole Pete Rose incident? I'm now convinced more than ever that Rose was screwed. Apparently the deal that they signed (Rose and Giamatti) stated that MLB made no formal findings or determinations on any matter including without limitation the allegation that Peter Edward Rose bet on any Major League Baseball game. Rose was banished for life yet allowed to apply for reinstatement within a year. Then after the deal was signed Giamatti went out and basically said Rose was guilty. Rose and his council were then in the early process of suing Giamatti when he died. Apparently, of the 3 supposed gambling slips found, 2 where forged, and the other one did not involve any MLB games. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
