On Sunday night July 25, Pro Wrestling IRON makes it's Midwest debut in Lakemoor, IL (located about an hour northwest of Chicago). In staying with IRON tradition, the card has been stacked with some of the very best fighters both the Midwest and West Coast have to offer.

To go along with a solid lineup, IRON-Midwest officials have decided to add a few new rules in order to add to the excitement of competition. First, every match will have a limit of two rope-breaks, meaning that submission holds will not be broken if the wrestler in peril has used both of his rope-breaks. Second, there are three ways to win a match - pin fall, submission and knockout. This rule will encourage harder hitting and higher impact moves in order to knock your opponent unconscious. If a referee sees an opponent unconscious, the match will immediately be stopped and the opponent will be named the winner. And third, is that steel chairs WILL be legal, however, the chairs CANNOT be swung or thrown at an opponent. Chairs may be used only to increase the impact and severity of maneuvers.

IRON-Midwest officials feel these new rules will add a new element to the action and separate IRON from many of the other independent promotions in the country. More new rules may be added before the event.

The card shapes up like this:

Donovan Morgan vs. Danny Daniels

When Danny Daniels heard Pro Wrestling IRON was going to make its way to his backyard of Chicago, he immediately called the IRON offices and demanded a match with Donovan Morgan. While it's not exactly clear why Daniels asked for Morgan, once Morgan was made aware of Daniels' challenge, he quickly accepted.

IRON and NOAH star Donovan Morgan returns to Chicago for the first time in years to take on one of the Midwest's very best in Danny Daniels.

With a victory, the cocky and confident Daniels says he can put himself in position to be the "leader" of IRON-Midwest, but to do that he must defeat one of the cornerstones of IRON in Morgan. Expect hard-hitting action with great technical mat work to tell the story of who comes out on top.

The IRON Saints vs. The Ballard Brothers

In a tag team match up pitting two teams of brothers against each other, it's hard to call which team will have an advantage.

The IRON Saints, Vito and Sal Thomaselli, hope to bring the knowledge they have acquired in California under the teachings of the IRON trainers back to the place they grew up. The Thomaselli's were raised in nearby McHenry and will undoubtedly have the crowd behind them.

The Saints will take on the team of Shane and Shannon Ballard, identical twins from Canada that have made themselves into one of California's top tag teams. They hope to prove that they are the West Coast's top tag team and a victory over the IRON Saints in the Thomaselli's hometown will go miles in proving just that.

4-Way Cruiserweight Showcase

"Barbaric Berzerker" Jimmy Jacobs vs. "The Pocket Rocket" Eric Marx vs. Delirious vs. Brandon Thomaselli

Four of the Midwest's top lightweights will showcase their talents in a match that is sure to excite the crowd with a combination of comedy, aerial maneuvers and mat work.

Jimmy Jacobs, known for his catchphrase "HUSS", his furry boots, and his unbelievable skill in the ring, would look like the favorite going into the match. Jacobs has wrestled in some of the Midwest's best matches, and is looking to make his mark in IRON.

Eric Marx may not be a nationally recognized name, but it's only a matter of time before that happens. The high-flyer has made a name for himself in the Midwest because of his willingness to put his body on the line to get a victory. Many times, Marx is forced to wrestle opponents much larger than himself. Getting in the ring with competitors his size may allow him to bust out moves he previously was unable to showcase.

Hailing from "The Brink of Insanity", Delirious is a fast-rising cruiserweight in the Midwest. The masked man usually puts his opponents on the defensive with his unpredictable psyche and maniacal ramblings. But don't let the nonsense coming from his mouth fool you, Delirious is one of the most skilled wrestlers out there.

Brandon Thomaselli, younger brother of Vito and Sal, is the youngest competitor in the match both in terms of age and time in the squared circle. Much like his brothers, Brandon will no doubt have the crowd behind him. A skilled mat wrestler, Brandon brings a different element to the match than his opponents. But don't let that trick you into believing that he can't take to the air when necessary.

Inter-gender Tag Team Action

"The Next" Alex Shelley & O.D.B. vs. Matt Sydel & Daizee Haze

Alex Shelley and O.D.B. will certainly be the more aggressive team in this match up. Shelley, known for his array of submission holds including the "Border City Stretch", and O.D.B., known for her brute force in the women's division, will be formidable opponents for the fan-friendly Sydel and Haze. Shelley and O.D.B. have let it be known to IRON officials that they plan on making an example out of the team of Sydel and Haze.

Sydel and Haze are fun personalities with tremendous skill. Sydel, considered by many to be the best high-flyer in the country, and Haze have teamed before in mixed tag encounters, which may give them an advantage.

New Breed Wrestling Association Title Defense

BJ Whitmer © vs. TBA by NBWA

At the first IRON TV tapings in California, BJ Whitmer lost a match against Bison Smith for the IRON World Title. Whitmer wants to show IRON officials that not only is he championship material, but he can successfully defend titles once he obtains them. He's so confident that he petitioned New Breed Wrestling Association to allow him to defend his title on July 25.

One of the conditions of New Breed, a wrestling company based in South Bend, Indiana, deciding to allow the title defense was that Whitmer will not know who his opponent will be until the match starts. Whitmer's confidence may have backfired on him.

"Classic" Colt Cabana vs. "The Underwear Model" Eric Priest

This match reeks of ego. Both Cabana and Priest were trained at the renowned Steel Domain Wrestling School in Chicago, and both consider themselves to be "top students".

Colt Cabana is known for his fun-loving attitude along with a high self-confidence. Combining strong mat skills with a bit of high-flying, Cabana is a force to be reckoned with in IRON.

To call Eric Priest narcissistic would be an understatement. Working as an underwear model outside of wrestling, Priest owns a tremendous physique, but also is an accomplished wrestler, holding a number of titles including the much-respected AWA World Title.

*Card subject to change*

This is the first of what Pro Wrestling IRON officials hope to be a number of events outside the state of California. If the card is any indication, IRON will be a force in American independent wrestling...
