Llakor 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 Kevin Steen is barely Twenty years old. He has already fought the most dominant champion in independent wrestling, Ring of Honour's Samoa Joe, to a draw. He has already beaten "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels, one of the biggest stars in independent wrestling. The fans have awarded him the nickname "Mr. Wrestling" and he may well be the best technical wrestler ever to hail from Quebec. He is also the Internet Wrestling Syndicate champion. But Kevin Steen is living a lie. He did not earn the IWS belt, he stole it. Kevin Steen could not win the IWS gold through skill, so he cheated for it. What must it be like to win your dreams only to have them ripped from your grasp? Ask El Generico. For two years, the Latin Luchador has fought for the IWS title. At the IWS' Fifth Anniversary show, El Generico did the impossible: he beat Pierre Carl Ouellet for the IWS belt. But before the Pride of Tijuana had even finished celebrating with the fans, Kevin Steen was there - attacking El Generico from behind, forcing the ref to start a title match and pinning an exhausted El Generico. This Saturday, during Hardcore Heat, Kevin Steen will face El Generico again. Only this time, El Generico will not start the match exhausted. This time, El Generico will not start the match with his back turned. This time, El Generico is ready for Kevin Steen. Most importantly, this time El Generico is angry, and Kevin Steen is about to discover one of the great open secrets of the IWS. Everyone knows that El Generico is one of the best high-flyers in Canada. It is less well known that El Generico is considered one of the stiffest workers in the IWS. On Saturday, Kevin Steen will learn just how hard El Generico can hit as the enraged Luchador fights to regain his IWS title. Also during Hardcore Heat, former tag team champions will clash as the Green Phantom will face the baby oil phenom EXcesS69. These two men won the IWS tag team title as enemies, but as they defended their title, they became friends. Since they lost the tag team title to Extreme Revolution in November, however, the two men have drifted apart. The Green Phantom has become increasingly irritated at the favouritism displayed by Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris towards his contract superstar. EXcesS69, on the other hand, thinks the the Green Phantom is simply jealous of his success. At Hardcore Heat, these two former partners will meet and their friendship may never be the same. There is man in the IWS who has never allowed friendship get in the way of business. They call him the One Man War. Ironically, the Arsenal suddenly finds himself in charge of an army: Evil Ninja, the Motivator of Madness, Crazy Crusher, Nightmare Manson. This is an army filled with men just as brutal, just as sadistic and just as soulless as the Arsenal himself is. Worse still, the Arsenal has come to realize how much power this army might give him. One might fear that that much power would drive the Arsenal crazy... if he weren't already barking mad. Instead fear for the Arsenal's victims. At Hardcore Heat, the Arsenal will send his disciples Extreme Revolution after his long-time foe the Sex XXXpress, as Sexxxy Eddy will face off against Crazy Crusher with Nightmare Manson stalking at ringside. Meanwhile, the Arsenal will dispatch himself and the Evil Ninja to take on the Kid Kamikaze Experience (featuring Kurt Lauderdale) Fresh off defeating a bear, Beef Wellington finds himself in a match against a member of his own species, Dan Paysan. The Master of the Ass Punch landed in this fight quite by accident. He found Dan Paysan's "Lista Nera" and mistaking it for the guest list to a party, insisted on putting his name at the very top. Hardcore Heat will also feature a title defence by le Syndicat de Lutte Internet, not to mention President Seska, Elsa Bangz, D-Vyn as well as the rest of the IWS roster and IWS ring announcer, the Voice of Wrestling in Quebec, Brian the Guppie. (Commissioner Joesph FitzMorris will miss Hardcore Heat sadly as he attends a convention for foreign video sales in Beirut. Rumour has it President Seska booked him in the Vader Suite.)
