Guest J*ingus Report post Posted May 1, 2002 Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference, within an hour of my house here in Tennessee lies the single largest auto factory for the Saturn car company. But for what it's worth, I drive a Toyota Corolla.
Guest EI Cubano Report post Posted May 1, 2002 Well seeing that Toyota's and Honda's last for about 150 years and that the transmission on my TWO YEAR OLD Pontiac Sunfire is about to drop through the floor, I would have to say foreign, excluding those shitty Korean cars (Hyundai, Kia). Guest converge241 Report post Posted May 2, 2002 I couldnt bring myself to buy a foreign after seeing "Roger & Me" (which NEEDS to be on dvd...but I digress). After seeing what the poepl in the car factory towns had to go through with GM moving plants to Mexico to compete with the foreign companies. The more we invest locally the better the domestic car industry would have been. GM is pretty evil too though

I'm not exactly sure as to what you were trying to show with that. But i think you were going for the "foreign cars" built in America. However one flaw in what you said is that Saturn is an american car company...it's a division of GM. There are some foreign cars that are without question better then any domestic car and that will always be better. BMW, Mercedez Benz, Ferrari, Porsche those are foreign cars that will always be better then 98% of all domestic cars. Overall the foreign cars are better they are more dependable, last longer and built better. However domestic cars have gotten alot better and are alot closer then they ever have been in terms of quality with the foreign cars. But honestly this whole foreign vs. domestic discussion doesn't mean much anymore. All the domestic car companies own part of most of the foreign car companies now. And for as many domestic car factories that go to mexico it seems that just as many foreign car factories move here.
