I was about to pick it up one day at Best Buy, but I bought the Beyond the Mat Special Edition instead. It looks interesting, especially since I used to be a yard tard, and I like most wrestling documentaries. I may buy it eventually.

I actually think I've talked to the creator of "The Backyard" a few times before it came out. Awhile ago someone who was producing a dockumentary on backyard wrestling was talking to me about it and asked if I wanted to be interviewed. He told me what it was about and he had differnet interviews from people trying to get everyone's concept about backyard wrestling. He had regular fans, professional wrestlers (I think RVD is one of them but i could be wrong.), and backyarders. He wanted some people who were thinking about getting into the buisness and he stumbled across my SN and asked. I haven't talked to him for about a year now, so I'm not sure if what he was talking about ever came out or not or if "The Backyard" is his film. I've been thinking about picking it up, but I haven't heard anything on it yet so I've been waiting to hear something before I picked it up.

RVD is in the movie. It's basically the "Beyond the Mat" of backyard wrestling, and looks very interesting...

I saw the movie and thought it was amazing, The stuff with the lizard just shows how some people have no clue about the wrestling bussiness, it was funny watching some of the guys yet very sad at the same time...great movie

I actually saw them ovie too, I ordered it off of ebay about a month ago, and I just got it recently. It was pretty entertaining and shows alot of different sides and points of view of people who are wrestlers, parents, RVD, and other people around some of the wrestlers......

While not near the awesomeness of Beyond the Mat, this was a really good movie and I'm not disapointed I bought it at all.

I also picked up "Backyard Criminals" as well and I have only made it 1/2 way through I'm not as satisfied with this purchase, the majority of it is just clips and sometimes almost whole matches on it of just backyarders being taped by their friends....there is no commentary, no Narration, and the wrestlers comments that they speak of...."New Jack, Sandman, Vampiro, Konnan...etc" are just 5 or 10 second blurbs from each wrestler spaced periodically throughout the movie. Not as good, but alright if you are just wanting to see some cool moves and some decent backyarding.
