Besides, Ric Flair isn't one to talk. He held down Lex Luger on more than one occasion, and was responsible for Mick foley never being given a chance in the main events after his feud with Vader in the fall of 1994.

And what a marvelous job of holding them down he did. I mean, look where they are now.

Well Luger eventually DID get World Title reigns...after Flair left. Foley was dumped into the Tag Title scene, went to ECW, and finally WWF, where he became the first man to physically and mentally dominate the Undertaker, and in 98 got a main event push, and world title reigns in 99.

And I made an error, the Cactus/Vader feud was Fall of 1993, not 1994. Foley was already gone by then.

The difference between Flair and Hogan is...

Hogan held down people for his own benefit, and his friends benefit.

Flair held down people because he thought it was best for business(Although he was wrong).

I thought the difference was that Flair showed his penis to flight attendants and had his Rolex stolen by a hooker, while Hogan was an Orange Goblin who hasn't had a good match since he left Japan in the 80's.

Oh, well.

Hogan drew a shit load of money during the 80's, so maybe staying on top was the best thing for the company. Flair probably did the same for Crockett.

I can't honestly see people like BAM BAM BIGELOW headlining Wrestlemania year after year. the one year he did in 1995 was versus a FOOTBALL PLAYER, and it was one of the three worst Wrestlemania's ever, along with IX and XV.

Ricky Steamboat wasn't any kind of draw during his run in NWA feuding with Flair, so maybe he didn't belong in the main event.

Who else did Hogan hold down? Bret Hart? according to Flair, Bret Hart couldn't draw either.

Making money is what is important in wrestling. Hogan sold out arenas and made Vince a billionaire.

The one man I can think of who should've gotten a main event run was Ted Dibiase, but that wasn't really Hogan's fault. It was mearly a chain reaction from the 2/88 Main Event, and change of plans for Savage. By the time that was over, Dibiase was feuding with Jake Roberts.
