If you just married two women, it would be unbearable because they'll probably both be headcases who will try to get you to play favorites. First off most are mormons who break off from the new Latter Day Saints of Mormons church and cite the old foundations of their bible. Some however are christians brought into a church system, and to keep it from being illegal they name their church something and have it be the Church of Polygamy. Whime Polygamy is illegal because of the Constitution you can't arrest people because of their religion. See? Absolutely fucking brilliant. One guy left his wife and 8 kids because he claimed god said they were holding him back spiritually. He then married 3 women after joining a church. Somehow he got out of paying child support because he gave up all his rights to the children and his new "religion" protected him. Another guy got this mormon bitch to leave her husband of 15 years and her 11 kids to marry him and become his 3rd wife. He now has 4 wives total. He's an "apostle" of this one church that chooses who the women will marry. The women having obviously never grown up with the wonders of cable television or proper schooling fall for this and actually think whatever god is up there and in charge of Heaven wants them to sacrafice shit for this. They give all their possessions to the church which sells them off to buy homes for the male members to house their wives and children in. The men keep all their belongings. They make up a few religious events like repeated reBaptismals(a small pool is involved...its hilarious) and keep up the charade that god wants all this so they can rail numerous women all they want. The women are so brainwashed that they believe its actually harder for the MEN. Its not all hilarious though as most of the young boys want to grow up like their dads, and in some cases that aint good. Reason being alot of polygamists are abusive-incestial pedophiles. Alot feel its their duty to sexually prepare their daughters so they're able to please their husbands. They're told not to tell their mothers and in cases where they do the mothers are once again so brainwashed that they don't believe it. For the ones that aren't in a Polygamist church the police are a bit iffy on doing raids because of the PR disasters...it seems alot of Utah's run by polygamists. Basically this is the religion for anybody who wanted to marry numerous women, work very little and yet have a large house, abuse your children, molest your children, and not get prosicuted because the system is afraid of public outcry. I'm not crazy about institutions that use Christian terminology to try and make completely different beliefs acceptable, especially in the realm of marriage. /CE Mode I'm not sure I'd even want more than one wife, to be honest. There's enough work involved in holding together a family in America as it is without having to deal with two or three wives and dozens of other little mouths to feed.
