WWE DVD's

Recommended Posts

So, what is the match listing for this Triple H DVD then?

EDIT: Just checked out amazon. It lists:

Vs Cactus Jack (Street Fight?)

Vs Chris Jericho (2 matches)

Vs Rock and Kurt Angle

Vs Steve Austin

5 Matches? What are the 2 Jericho matches, Fully Loaded and ? I guess it may be worth checking out for DVD versions of the 2/3 Falls match and the LMS match. That lsiting doesn't touch any of the others, though.

I forgot the match list, but it's 6 of his PPV Matches from 2000-2002.

vs. Vince McMahon - Armageddon 99

vs. Cactus Jack - Royal Rumble 00

vs. Chris Jericho - Fully Loaded 00

vs. The Rock vs. Kurt Angle - SummerSlam 00

vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin - No Way Out 01

vs. Chris Jericho WrestleMania X8

Triple H Returns - RAW 02

Then the background histories leading up to each.

I also agree that it's not the best of the bunch, but it is a good DVD.

There's an HHH DVD called "That Damn Good" that has one of the strongest match lists I've ever seen on a DVD.

I could be mistaken, but aren't the only two matches on this:

Vs Foley at RR 00

And one of the Flair/Steamboat matches? If so, both matches can be found elsewhere on MUCH beter collections. Or am I thinking of anoher Triple H DVD?

There's two different HHH DVDs.

Triple H: The Game is the one you're talking about. In addition to the HHH vs. Foley and Steamboat vs. Flair, it also has HHH's WWF debut match (against Buck Zumhoff).

EDIT: DH already posted the match list for That Damn Good.

Bah. All PPV matches? The Austin, Jericho and McMahon matches are the only incentive to buy. Like I said, I guess if you REALLY wanted a DVD version of the Austin and Jericho matches it may be worth it, but it seems like a whole lotta stuff I can find elsewhere.

Half of the damn DVD's listed aren't even out yet, are they?

I'd say:

1. Ric Flair Collection

2. Hulk Still Rules

3. Shawn Michaels: From the Vault

....Uh....What? Really, all the DVD's listed have been out for months and in Hogans case, years.

Well, that's the exception to the rule, but I think it's fair, since we already know what's going to be on it. Well, there was the guy telling him to wait for the Hart DVD... Anyway, I reccomend...

Flair: Ultimate Collection

Foley: Greatest Hits and Misses

Rey Mysterio: 619 (the feature does suck though)

So there's a Benoit DVD out?

You said half the DVDs listed. I keep seeing Flair, Foley, and BloodBaths as the majority. Benoit's DVD may not be out, but if you've seen the matches elsewhere that are on the DVD, how can you say it's not great?

1. Flair - This one is easily the best. It has some of the greatest matches ever on North American soil. Also, the promo's and other features are great as well.

2. Mick Foley - This one is very well done too. It lacks the "great" matches that the Flair one has(this set wasn't suppost to be his greatest matches....thus the "Hits and Misses" in the title.

3. Shawn Michaels:From the Vault - This one has some "great" matches on it too with the Wrestlemania X ladder match and the first Hell In A Cell.

I didn't put the Benoit one on here because I have yet too see it. But judging from the match listing it has........it WOULD be on my list after it's release.

I'd go

Benoit

Michaels: From the Vault

Flair: Ultimate Collection

one of the things you get from the Foley set, is that aside from some great WWF stuff, is how badly the ECW stuff has aged. The promos are still excellent, but the actual work just isn't that good at all.

The Sting match is still as fun as it was 12 years ago though.

The Hogan one doesn't have a lot of *great* wrestling in it, but it's got a great mix of matches and all of the 1985 stuff of Hogan rules so much. Lots of rarer stuff on this as well and this is pre-Panda lawsuit settlement. It's missing a couple key matches, but they were obviously leaving room open for DVD set 2.

The Flair DVD obviously is the greatest thing ever. A lot of the 1992-era WWF stuff is tarnished a bit by the WWF lawsuit thing.

I thought the Foley DVD was a bit disappointing, just in the way the WCW footage had new commentary and the clipping of the ECW footage to heck, and then some Attitude logo blurring. They also clip a lot of interviews unfortunately. It's good to have a lot of stuff in one place, but it really needed another disc.

The Benoit DVD looks amazing on paper. We'll see what they do with it.
