Llakor 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2004 Saint-Laurent Braces for the Body Count For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The Internet Wrestling Syndicate is still reeling from Kevin Steen's actions at the last IWS show Hardcore Heat: stealing the IWS title from out of El Generico's grasp again, viciously attacking guest referee Pierre Carl Ouellet and sending him to the hospital for sixteen hours of observations for concussion induced dementia, but most of all for bringing to the IWS the most hated man in Quebec wrestling - Franky the Mobster. For Kevin Steen there will be a reckoning, and it will be at Body Count, but how exactly El Generico plans to get revenge - that we do not yet know. But there is a great deal that we can announce: The IWS is pleased to announce a new addition to the roster, a veteran of Ring of Honour, Combat Zone Wrestling and Big Japan Wrestling: Trent Acid. The former ¡°Backseat Boy¡± will be competing against the baby oil phenom, ExcesS69. The IWS is pleased to welcome Trent Acid to the IWS family and we look forward to seeing his match against EXcesS69. For more information about Trent Acid please visit his web-site: http://www.trentacid.com Originally, ExcesS69 was scheduled to face the Triple X ¡°Sex XXXpress¡± Sexxxy Eddy. Unfortunately, this match will not happen. Returning from Delaware after participating in Combat Zone Wrestling's Tournament of Death Three and becoming a U.S. Hardcore Legend in less than a day, Eddy had this to say, "Wrestling EXcesS69 has been a dream for me, it's been a dream of Mathy's, and I know that it has been a dream of the fans. But if I am going to do that match, I want it to be a great match, and right now after the injuries that I suffered at TOD3, I can't have a great match, I can't train for a great match. I have 19 stitches all over my body, I simply can't do the cardio training that I need to do to keep up with Mathy ¨C with ExcesS69 in the ring.¡± The IWS is also proud to announce that we will be returning to Unison Bar et Billiard, 3500 Boulevard Cote Vertu in Saint-Laurent on August 21st and on September 25th. It's no secret that we have wanted to return to Unison for a show since our highly successful Praise the Violence in January. Unfortunately, a variety of bureaucratic obstacles have made that impossible until now. We are delighted to return to Saint-Laurent to present the best independent wrestling in Canada. Also scheduled for Body Count, Beef Wellington will face Tomassino, the hulking consigliere of Dan Paysan. Dan challenged Beef to fight Tomassino after being pinned by Beef after their match at Hardcore Heat. While this challenge took place in the ring at Hardcore Heat, the backstage area at Hardcore Heat saw a flurry of challenges. The New Breed, determined to end their IWS losing streak, challenged the Flying Hurricanes to a match. Meanwhile, the IWS tag team champions, le Syndicate de Lutte Internet, have challenged Extreme Revolution to a match. The SLI were furious that Nightmare Manson tried to disfigure their leader, Fred le Merveille, by threatening to staple a Quebec flag to his forehead. IWS fans may remember that Viking and Damian won the IWS tag team titles the last time that the IWS was at Unison by beating Extreme Revolution during a match where Crazy Crusher wrestled with a broken ankle. Now that Crazy Crusher's ankle is at 100% will the SLI lose their tag team titles at the site of their greatest triumph? Rumour has it that the Career Killer Kurt Lauderdale has given his tag team partner Kid Kamikaze and ultimatum, "Get me a match with the Evil Ninja - OR ELSE!" During Hardcore Heat, the Evil Ninja sliced Kurt's arm open with a samurai sword and the big man from Hemmingford wants payback in the worst way. According to Kurt, since their team name is the "Kid Kamikaze Experience" it is Kid Kamikaze's responsibility to get Kurt this match. The Internet Wrestling Syndicate and Pro Wrestling Superstars would also like to remind Canadian wrestling fans that if you missed the all IWS PPV featuring the return to wrestling of Sid Vicious, it replays this Saturday, August 14th on Viewer¡¯s Choice as part of Pro Wrestling Superstars Day where Viewer's Choice is pleased to present Pro Wrestling Superstars ALL DAY LONG. Four episodes of Pro Wrestling Superstars will play back to back to back to back, including the all IWS PPV. So if you missed Andre the Giant, Amazing Red vs A. J. Styles, the 2003 Canadian match of the year featuring Pierre Carl Ouellet vs. El Generico vs. Kevin Steen, Christian and Edge before they were stars, Lo-Ki vs. Homicide, Kevin Steen vs Beef Wellington or the return of Sid Vicious, here is your chance to see it again. And remember at the bargain price of $5.99 each, you can get ALL FOUR episodes of Pro Wrestling Superstars for less than the price of one WWE pay per view. The IWS presents Body Count, Saturday, August 21st at Unison, at Unison Bar et Billiard, 3500 Boulevard Cote Vertu, Montreal, Qu¨¦bec. Doors open at 8:00 pm, IWS Bloodstream begins at 8:30 pm, show starts at 9:00 pm. Tickets are fifteen dollars. For information about the show e-mail [email protected] or visit the Internet Wresting Syndicate at their web-site: http://www.syndicatewrestling.com/. For information about IWS merchandise & DVDs, our wholesale prices or our customer referral program e-mail [email protected] or order from http://xrv.com/its/. (To reach Unison on foot, go to metro Cote Vertu and take either the 121 or 177 bus and get off on the corner of Cote Vertu and Beaulac. For those coming to Montreal from outside of town, take Autoroute 13, turn off on the 40 service road to Cote Vertu and take Cote Vertu to Beaulac.) Obviously, since we will be presenting Body Count at Unison, it means that we will not be presenting the show at la SPAG. We thank the management of la SPAG for their hospitality during "V" and Hardcore Heat.
