Did the wwf offer sting a contract?

Just wondering, since WWF was more popular in 93 and past, they could get almost anyone they wanted from WCW. I can't imagine them not wanting Sting, WCW's most over face. I know Sting won't go to the WWF now because of religous beliefs or something.

 

SO, did WWF talk to Sting about going to the WWF before 97?

I remember reading that they talked with him but he never he always preferred being in the smaller WCW.

I'm pretty such they did at some point in the '90s. Sting ended up being loyal to WCW, so he never left when pretty much every top WCW star in the '90s did ie. Flair, Luger, The Steiners, etc.

yeah he did mention that he was made an offer to go to the WWF but he never went out of the belief that Vince McMahon just wanted to screw WCW instead of really wanting him

I always liked Sting being in WCW because in the early 90's WWF had Hulk Hogan and WCW had Sting and then Hogan went to WCW,but Sting has always truly been the man in WCW even with Hogan being in the WCW.

I think it's nice to think that Sting stuck with WCW because of his loyalty, but let's not forget the fact that he made the most money in WCW until Hogan came along, and that the WWF couldn't match his contract. His salary dwarfed everybody in the WWF.
