Guest Report post Posted April 28, 2002 I enjoy the same things as my friend. He has a problem which is pushing me to beat the fuck out of him for, he is a closeted racist. He claims that his race is better at everything than any other race, and he has made me feel uncomfortable when my family visits. He also says that certain races only like certain popular TV shows, movies, and wrestlers. He also bashes other races when he can't get a job, or when something happens to them. He has also attacked people who are mixed-hertiage, and or have family members who hapen to be of different races. Don't do it an aggressive manner, but be calm and counter his arguments with facts. BTW if he attacks minorities and makes racial slurs, he's not a closet racist. So, he brings home his Black friend Tony, a big brute (Think Ron Simmons brute) and kisses him right on the mouth in front of his father. His father passed out and he moved. One i just stopped hanging out with and the other who I grew up with I told him that I didn't agree with his thoughts but I wasn't going to lecture him and if he wanted to be like that he could just not around me. He may in fact BE white, but your assumption simply cements youas no better than the kid in question , thereby rendering any 'advice' you may give rather pointless. People of all races and creeds can be afflicted with this kind of superiority complex. I know many people that feel this way , be they Black ,Asian or white. I made an assumption based on this quote, "He also bashes other races when he can't get a job". That led me to believe that he is a disgruntled white guy bitching about Affirmative Action. I also think it would be far easier to refute a white person's racism than that of a minority, who have been subjected to far worse treatment in America than whites, which is needless to say. Sorry if I offended you, but I don't need to lectured to about how racism comes from all races. I'm quite aware of that and have witnessed more true racism by Balck people to whites than vice versa. By "real racism" I'm mean people who really hate, not people who make jokes and don't really mean it. You're logic of me being no better than the racist kid makes little sense. My assumption that he was someone off my own race makes my advice some how null and void? Did you actually read what I wrote after the 1st sentance? If so did you find my advice to be stupid or a good method for solving Mario's problem? Or did you just not read it because whatever I had to say is null and void? He sayst that the white part of me makes me inferior to him and his superior race, and my mother happens to be white. He is not aware that I'm part Hispanic, he claims that they are lazy and havent contributed anything to the world. Today I plan to confront him about his attitude.
