Guest Redhawk Report post Posted April 29, 2002 If you had the power to put any wrestler on the game, regardless of WWF licensing or copyrights or any of that, who would you have on there? Oh, and pretend that the game is actually worth playing, or as good as your favorite wrestling game. And that these guys would be in their prime. My 40: 1. Shawn Michaels 2. The Rock 3. Guest TheHulkster Report post Posted May 2, 2002 That's one reason Fire Pro is one of my favorite series ever. They put in everyone (cept steamboat and bruno (bruno was in giant gram at least) =0() you can think of that has been a big name in wrestling. Even the old school guys like Lou Thesz. All of them are under assumed names, but they have all their moves, taunts, mannerisms, look, etc. All the top stars in MMA history are in there too and they have full sized Octagons and electrified barbed wire cages for the Death match wrestlers like Mr Pogo and Onita. I could go on all day about how much ass fire pro kicks. If you have a gba, buy fire pro wrestling (the sequel is coming in june, I can't wait). If you have a DC, import FPD. And any "Legends of Wrestling" game that doesn't include Flair is severely lacking. Like him or hate him, he's unquestionably one of, if not *the*, greatest North American wrestlers. Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted May 25, 2002 I don't know if I can name 40, but we'll see. 1.) Hulk Hogan 2.) Ric Flair 3.) Ricky Steamboat 4.) Jimmy Snuka 5.) Jake Roberts 6.) Rick Martel 7.) Rick Rude 8.) The Ultimate Warrior 9.) The Honky Tonk Man 10.) Ted DiBiase 11.) Arn Anderson 12.) Tully Blanchard 13.) Barry Windham 14.) Andre the Giant 15.) Ole Anderson 16.) The Great Muta 17.) Road Warrior Animal 28.) Scott Steiner 29.) Rick Steiner 30.) Bret Hart 31.) Jim Neidhart 32.) The Dynamite Kid 33.) The British Bulldog 34.) The Big Boss Man 35.) Mr. Perfect 36.) Shawn Micheals 37.) Marty Jannetty 38.) Vader 39.) Bam Bam Bigelow 40.) Owen Hart This seems good to me. You have the original Four Horsemen, you have a strong tag team division with The Hollywood Blondes, The Brainbusters, The Bristish Bulldogs, The Hart Foundation, The Legion of Doom/Road Warriors, The Steiner Brothers, The Rockers & The Fabulous Freebirds. The mid card is phenominal with stars such as Mr. Perfect, Jake Roberts, Rick Rude, The Honky Tonk Man, etc. You can also recreate great matches of the past such as Flair/Steamboat or Savage/Steamboat. Of course, you would have to have different outfits so that certain wrestlers could perform certain roles. For example, you would need both Hollywood Blonde Austin as well as bald Stone Cold. The only match types would be single, tag team & Cage. I'm talking about the old blue bar cage. No door. The wrestlers get in the ring & the cage is lowered over them. You would also be able to leap off of the top of the cage, which is why it is a good think that Randy Savage & Jimmy Snuka are in the game. It turns out that naming 40 wasn't so hard afterall. Actually, I have more that I could add such as Bob Backlund, The Iron Sheik, & Harley Race. Oh well.
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted May 25, 2002 In addition to different outifts, they should have different body types and wrestling styles. The Steiner Brothers version of Scott Steiner would not only dress different and have brown hair, but he'd also be not-so-huge and be able to do Frankensteiners and stuff. The "Big Poppa Pump," version of Steiner would be like the one we see today. The Hollywood Blondes Steve Austin would be skinnier and wrestle like he did back then, with no Stunner move and less power moves as opposed to technical stuff. I have also dreamed of a season mode that was on-line. People could select different superstars & join different "leagues." There would have to be divisions, otherwise people would just complain about who they had to play as. Personally, I think that a real life season mode would be fantastic. How about a career mode? You have to break into the business, then go through training, indies, etc. all the way up until you retire from the ring or die. That could be amazing if it was in depth enough. I have so many ideas I baffle myself. I should start writing some of this shit down. I have had the idea of a season mode in my head for a long time. Injuries, retirements, deaths, and all. That way, you would have different influences when you tried to break into the business. There would be different trainers, etc.

That way, you would have different influences when you tried to break into the business. There would be different trainers, etc. What would be even cooler, is if they took the concept from this old Super Famicon game called "Hybrid Wrestler." Basically, you created your wrestler and took him through all the circuits across the world. There were three main feds, and your goal was to win all three titles and unify them. BUT, as time went on, you (obviously) got older. You could even get married and have a kid, and once you retired, if your kid was at least 18 years old, he could take over as your successor. The game would just go on & on. Granted, there wasn't much point in it, since they didn't really have the space to make a huge story mode so you'd just basically keep fighting the same 12 matches over and over, but it was an interesting idea. Just think of the possibilities for this type of feature on a Gamecube or PS2...
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted May 28, 2002 Just to make it more realistic, you could get "performance evaluations." Like some JR-type dude would tell you they'd push you more if you cut better promos or used a different style. And at various points, you would be offered steroids and have the option to take them or not. You could even be presented with giving your promoter a blowjob for a push. Or pretend to make friends with the promoter's kid to get a push.
