Guest Wildbomb 4:20 Report post Posted August 13, 2004 Anderson is good. SVP as well. The other guy that should find a new job, along with Linda, is Steve Berthuime. I HATE THE SCARFACE REFERENCE. Oh, and bring back jumanji. --Ryan
Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted August 14, 2004 I do have to agree that Sportcentre is better than Sportscenter, but for one reason only: I <3 Jennifer Hedger. TSN licks. If your in Canada, its all about Sportsnet's Don Taylor.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2004 Sportsnet bad jokes, bad journalism, bad commentators, bad everything.
treble 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2004 Most of the guys on SportsNet are actually pretty decent, but I'd put a lot of them behind the top few guys on TSN (Cory Woron and Blake Price being my favourites, but when that Dan O'Toole guy is the worst of the bunch, you've got a pretty good bunch). On SportsNet, Mike Toth is a lot better now than he was when he was on TSN back in the day and Darren Millard is pretty good, but after that the rest of their late show crop is pretty weak. Don Taylor is good, too, but he always seems to be doing some weak Chris Berman impression.
Guest Smark-Raving Mad Report post Posted August 14, 2004 I can't take SportsCenter anymore. If I watch any ESPN, it's ESPNews. Brian Kinney is awesome. Michael Kim isn't bad. And where's Pat Boyle now? I could tolerate his schtick. I remember once he somehow worked a Koko B. Ware reference into a baseball highlight, and I was left awestruck. As for the bad of ESPNews, Mike Hill is trying to be Stuart Scott, and he's doing a damn good job. And I think Kirk Gimenez is at least slightly retarded. You might see him once in a while on the weekend, but he is mainly done on the desk come September. Taylor likes to impersiante people, but he dosn't really like Berman at all. He is way more of a CFL guy, not too big on the NFL.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2004 Buccigross doesn't kiss up to Melrose, the way it's set up is that the talking head host defers to the "EXPERT" in those situations. Since Melrose is an "EXPERT", Buccigross has to defer to him. Expert on WHAT?
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2004 I feel sorry for Toth, cause well, he's the only one good working there. Do they still have Jim Van Horne, on 6:30?
Guest bigm350 Report post Posted August 15, 2004 I would have voted for Craig Kilborn but he hasn't been there for, what, 10 years?
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2004 I appear to be the only Stuart Scott fan here. Going by similar trends, an anchor as universally reviled as Stuart Scott must be liked by MrZsasz. So you're in really good company there, you spoony bard. You do realize that TSM is by no stretch of the imagination a good way of gauging what the majority of even people in the 18-24 demographic enjoy, correct?
