Are they ever going to make mention of?

Do you think they'll ever mention or show a video clip of the last 2 times Hogan and UT hooked it up? Or do they want to keep Ric Flair out of this feud? Because Flair was involved in both matches and I was just wondering if they would ever have UT showing it going "look at what happened last time I beat you" and then show Hogan having to cheat with the ashes in the urn to beat UT.

They actually should've done it the night after Backlash with UT all like "Flair you helped me at Backlash but will you help me at Judgement Day? As a matter of fact you helped me in 91......"

Anybody else have any thoughts on old Hogan/UT footage being shown!?

I agree. they should especially play it up if they want to further the whole "is Ric really screwing Austin" by pointing out he has helped Taker before. Could lead to Austin/Hogan vs Taker/Flair.

Yeah I mentioned that last week after they did show Hogan cheating to beat UT at Tuesday in Texas during the course of RAW. It would be a cool way to throw in a little excitement into the prospect of a Hogan-Taker match and maybe even throw another aspect of "Can Flair be trusted?" into Austin's angle. Who knows, maybe throw in Mr. Perfect as Ric Flair's new "Executive Consultant" :-) Bobby Heenan would be thrilled!

This brings up the old "WWF ignores everything that happened more than ten minutes ago" argument again, doesn't it? They don't give people enough credit. It'd add so much to the drama, but there you go.

That would be very cool. So far, I've only seen footage of Hogan beating Taker back for the title in one of their WWF Flashback things. But Taker did say "I beat him" or something to that effect, on RAW. They probably don't want to insert Flair into this thing because he's all busy with the wretchedly "built-up" nWo vs Texas feud.

FUCK, I hate Jim Ross! I hate him for putting Bradshaw on my TV! *ARGH!*

All Flair would have to say was "Hey, I'm a changed man... I've mellowed in my old age and seen the light, and after what Taker did to me, I'd never help out that Sumbitch again" and it would make it an even bigger swerve when he goes nWo.

Heh.  Anybody else think that one of the reasons Hogan returned to the WWF was to get the job back from the Undertaker?  Maybe the WWF doesn't want to bring it up, but I bet ol' Hogan does.  He has a long memory when it comes to his losses.  Let us not forget Hogan/Warrior II  in WCW... on second though, let us forget it.

I bet they will but they are probably saving it for a big moment before Judgment Day.  Like a great video clip or something.

I'm sure the WWF could show just the Tombstone & pinfall without showing Flair, they do shoot things from multiple angles...

Austin and Hogan as a tag team?  Highly unlikely.  Yeah, I was wondering why Undertaker wouldn't mention his Survivor Series 91 win over Hogan.  To further their feud, it's imperative that history resurface to show the marks that Taker is credible as an opponent.  To be honest, Undertaker could claim to burying Hulkamania with that match.......and then he can say he will bury it again......

I believe Hogan would be a fool to demand anything from the Undertaker because:

A) Taker is the Morale King of the locker room, he keeps things in order.

B) Hogan's current run is on limited fuel..brother

C) Your Taker Mark wouldn't want to see it!!

PLEEEAAASSSEEEE Mark, KILL HULKAMANIA!!!

This has been the fun loving, Hogan hating Taker Mark

Hogan is defintely trying to get his job back. Remember, he brought the Warrior to WCW just to do that.

They don't need it for Flair to feud with Undertaker since they are on seperate shows. They should just show Undertaker getting a win over Hogan and starting the Decade of Destruction, and on RAW have the footage add fuel to the mistrust between Austin and Flair.

If this match is all over returning a job that didn't work out for Hogan, Vince shoud REALLY consider what he really has on a two year contract.

They aren't showing film of the previous fued because the WWF has less respect for marks than the average poster here.

If they do so the clip they will show Taker Tombstoning Hogan For the First time and then show the pin. As we all remeber Taker Tombstoned Hogan twice But the first time hogan Hulked up and then falir came down with the chair and helped taker get the win. So what they will do is they will show the first tombstone and then go to the pin of the second tombstone were Taker pinned Hogan. There we go i think that made sense.

They're probably better off not showing the second Tombstone that won the match for UT (the one onto the chair), for as I recall -- and Survivor Series 91 was the first WWF ppv I bought and taped, and have watched it several times -- the second tombstone was fake beyond belief.  The camera angle gives you a   pretty good look at UT going down with Hogan for the tombstone, and Hogan's head is a good 7 inches (minimum) from the chair.  I mean, it's not even remotely close.

Also, the first tombstone was near the middle the ring, and the second tombstone was far off in the corner of the ring.  Splicing footage would look more than a little odd...like somebody was trying to cover something up...(which would make a pretty interesting angle in itself...but then I like conspiratorial stuff that feeds my paranoia and coverups and repression of information, etc.)

Yeah, 'Taker killed Hulkamania in '91, they should be showing the history of the feud to build it up. Undertaker should definately go back to the dark side for this match to really have nostalgic value. I'd rather see him going out in a blaze of glory than the big orange goblin.

Look...I HATE Hulk Hogan, but to say that he wants his "job" back is blowing things out of proportion.  Yes, he did it Warrior in WCW...BUT Hogan already got his job back from UT 2 days later at This Tuesday In Texas!  He officially won the title back that night, so I think that counts.  I dont want any "the title was vacated" excuses.  Pinfall, 1.2.3.  Hogan new champ.  He got the job back.

I dont usually like to agree with HJogan haters, but that is a point i was going to make. Hogan got the job back 6 days after he lost to Taker (SSeries was on Wednesday Nights until 1995). And its hard to show the pinning tombstone from Series 91 cause Flair is not really the easiest person to hide (thanks to his flashy robe and to the fact they didnt have 1000 camera men). I think Hogan will be champ til Summerslam (maybe KOTR) and job the title to Austin (if rumors are right).

OK...fine.  Just show the pinfall then.  The WWF always had different camera men positioned at ringside, so I'm sure if they needed to the production crew can just edit Flairs part or the Tombstone in question out.

They don't need to edit Flair out......it could add to all the mistrust of Flair as a whole. Just show the video and don't make a big deal out of Flair.

That's what the damn inter-show run-ins will do to you. Hogan was on Smackdown before Backlash, now he can be on RAW. UT is on RAW, but he did a run-in on Backlash. Right after Triple H is assigned to Smackdown, he appears on RAW first. On Smackdown, A feared UT run-in is going to cost Jericho the match. This shit is confusing if you don't pay close attention.

I didn't think the 2nd tombstone looked that bad. And besides, they've played the video on WWF TV at least 5 or 6 times since Hogan went to WCW, with Taker claiming to be the man who beat Hogan when he was somebody...I can't see why they wouldn't do it now.
